I think too many people are reviewing the *idea* of a puppet episode of Strange New Worlds than reviewing the actual episode. Which I thought was a ton of fun and ultimately made a lot of sense character-wise.

The new season of Strange New Worlds is not showing for me on web, Roku TV or Android app. The big banner saying it's streaming shows up, but it takes me to the last episode of Season 3. And no live support until 9 AM. So much for watching it before I go to work....

If I was given charge of Doctor Who, the first thing I'd do is restore Gallifrey and the Time Lords. Having them looking over the Doctor's shoulder would be a good way to reign in the "I AM THE MOST AWESOME BEING IN THE UNIVERSE" tendencies the show fell into way too often.

Don’t ban kids using YouTube. Make YouTube behave like a broadcaster. Pay creators. Reinvest in the creative industries. Pay fair tax back into creators’ economies. Follow guidelines on fair usage and copyright. Play fair. It’s bigger than TV now. Make it behave like TV.

Raiders of the Lost Ark opened 45 years ago yesterday, but 45 years ago today is when I first saw it. I remember having no idea what was coming. I don't think I was 100% sure it wasn't going to be about Noah's ark.

We were tense, we were scared, we were thrilled, we were laughing. Shooting the swordsman brought the house down. And we walked out bouncing to the next classic John Williams march.

In an era of teasers and trailers and teasers for trailers, I don't think we can really be surprised like that anymore. And that joy of discovery is a large part of what burned Raiders into my brain on that Saturday morning in 1981.

But then this boisterous locomotive of a film unspooled before us and dropped our jaws. Nobody, I mean nobody thought some '30s serial throwback could work like this. But there was an icon being born right before our eyes.
