There is no clearer case for the necessity of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 than how quickly southern states moved to eliminate Black-majority districts and dilute Black power after SCOTUS eroded Section 2. SCOTUS’s reasoning was immediately disproven by reality.

Note: One reason Trump may be saying "we have to act fast." The comments Jim Comey made to Congress they want to prosecute were made on September 30, 2020. They've got 8 days to charge it.

MORE: Trump amplified his message Saturday night in a gaggle with reporters, saying he didn’t intend his post as a criticism of Bondi but that “We have to act fast.” “We have to do it now,” he said. www.politico.com/news/2025/09...

💥 BREAKING: Levi Strauss shareholders voted today to reject a proposal calling on the company to cease / abolish all DEI efforts (tally TBD). LEVI Board: “Diversity and inclusion principles are critical in ensuring that our products reflect and are relevant to our diverse global consumer base.”

I love her! We need her and what she is doing! Bless her.

DOGE Oversight Subcommittee held a hearing on reducing federal property. All they said was “fire sale” this, “fire sale” that. Meanwhile, they’re lighting all of this s**t on fire — while their incompetent leader wastes millions of taxpayer dollars golfing, all while steering us towards a recession.

The wages of the richest 1% have skyrocketed 182% since 1979.  Meanwhile, the wages of the bottom 90% have seen just 44% growth.  Trickle down economics was always a hoax.

This was shared on a FB post. I think it needs to go viral. The friar was responding to an asinine statement "Stealing from one group to take care of another is not a noble thing to do, especially in a free enterprise society." from likely a bot.

OMG! Assholes! Do any of them have general tact or decorum? WTAF!

GLENN: Why don't you wear a suit? You're at the highest level in this country's office & you refuse to wear a suit. A lot of Americans have problems with you not respecting the office. ZELENSKYY: I will wear a costume after this war will finish. Maybe something like yours. Maybe something better.

Republicans are not only tone deaf, they are ignorant to ignore their voters and keep on with talking points. SHAME!

Mark Alford (R-MO): Elon Musk has contracts with the federal government, but he is also, I think, doing an effective job at weeding out the waste, abuse, and fraud in the government. Constituents: BOOO!!! SHOW ME!!! CONFLICT OF INTEREST!!! HE IS THE WASTE, FRAUD, AND ABUSE!!!

I'm a telehealth provider and people are getting the help they need with providers who can help. This is only applied to medicare, but they are oftne the older and then the sicker of the population. People need the help.

🚨Please let your member of Congress know how crucial telehealth is. For me it’s been a godsend, not having to travel as much & save my energy, which I have very little of at times. Telehealth actually was expanded under the first Donald Trump administration due to Covid locking down medical centers.

My 5 things I did to remind Elon he's an idiot: 1. Wrote to my representatives/senators 5 times (each time there was a letter to each representative=15) to tell them how terrible they are doing. Also wrote several local representatives/senators...

3. Wrote the White House occupant to remind him he is not a king and there are checks and balances that exist. Plus he has no right to unilaterally create a department. Reminded him that I know he won't listen, but this is part of his presidential record.

4. Repaired the mortar between the basement blocks on 2 walls of the duplex, only 4 more to go! 5. Told my supervisor (that's me!) that I have done a fabulous job and I deserve a raise/time off. But, she knows that I won't take it, so she has no problem granting it.

Reminded them they represent all the people in their area and not just the ones who voted for them. 2. Took a staycation and only worked 3 of those days. Spent the rest of the days repairing antique jewelry and cleaned a few things up. (Work Product attached)

This is a good approach. We have to get grassroots again. We have to make sure people feel cared for. We win our democracy between our neighbors on the streets and caring. All changes have occurred this way.

We are finding moral people in the world. Calling out the problems with this regime that calls itself an administration is so important.

AUSA Hagan Scotten, former clerk for John Roberts, really put some mustard on his resignation letter.

But of course! These people are the worst in the world. Gotta get off Amazon too.

After Melania personally pitched her personal documentary to Bezos last December, Amazon paid $40MM —almost 3X what Disney offered. And now she’s hawking “sponsorships” to the film, for $10MM each. Makes the old Trump hotel in DC look like chump change. Gift link: www.wsj.com/politics/ele...
