Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

God, grant me the courage to change the things I can and incredible new powers to change the things I can't.

Likely deportation of Palestinians via Israel!

ICE Flight Monitor@iceflightmonitor.bsky.social

A small jet (max 16-18 passengers) carrying out an ICE Air flight just landed in Tel Aviv, Israel. This is very likely the fourth flight deporting Palestinians to Israel. The flight originated in Mesa, AZ and stopped in Iceland and Bulgaria for refueling.

i didn't realize on any level that i hadn't made a new beat in over ten years. I've had slumps before but this kinda rattles my identity. that said, i made one new beat last night. just hooked up some drum layers from a couple records I've had for ages, but it felt really good.

i have a whole kallax of vinyl "to be sampled" that's been full for years, and i know i found more breaks since i paused making beats than i ever did while i was active. i should be NECK DEEP IN RHYTHMS AND GROOVES. But i got depression!

I got a wild hair to resurrect old beats that I've had sitting on old hard drives for a long time and started trying to gather them onto my phone to evaluate if i can write to them or just put them on a beat tape or what, and i realized a folder of what i considered "old beats" last time i did this…

...was dated September, 2016. Some of the earliest FL Studio beats are from the oughts. A few old Impulse Tracker beats are even from the late 90s. I really can't let anything go! I think they're all as good as anything I've ever done... mostly because I still love whatever samples I used.

The problem is my ideas machine broken. I don't know what to rhyme about on them anymore. Half of them are upbeat and just want a 1991 Chubb Rock approach, and half of them are sad and serious and want me to unearth trauma or address injustices. And both of those are hard work!

Strangers used to say a lot that I deserved a raise. They didn't know who I was or what I got paid but I was in a position to see them say over and over again, whoever did this deserves a raise. I don't do that job anymore. I never did get that raise.

Trans people have been around your whole life. You’ve been sharing bathrooms with them your whole life. They’ve been in your communities your whole life. They’ve even been playing sport your whole life. And you didn’t care *at all* till a few years ago when every right wing org decided you should

the definitive millennial song is actually a white label underground rap 12" from 2001 that you can't quite remember the artist name of but the rhymes were SUPER scientifical and the drums could stun a buffalo.
