God, man... losing Bioware hurts so much. I'm reflecting on how much the original three Mass Effect games meant to me, and how much they contributed to my love of games. The story, the characters, the choices. What a profound loss and indicator of how far these major publishers have fallen.

RIP Epic Games, I already had issues with you, but this makes it much easier to just never play one of your games. Continues to be a great time to be mostly focused on retro games and indie games.

NEW: Epic Games has delayed its upcoming (not yet announced) Star Wars + Marvel shooter as it pivots to complete AI game development. "No more hand-written code," a director told staff. All art "generated with full AI workflows." Full scoop: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

The irony of me making the decision to pull the trigger on one of these finally to support this move, and them being sold out... Still, love this!

"It's just not our money to keep, and it felt really good to give it back," Panic co-founder Caleb Sasser said. "That's an easy way to know you made the right decision."

Another thing, I also really respect actors and the work they do but……. chill out y’all… the method acting, the self-aggrandizing… You aren’t curing cancer or solving world hunger, you’re pretending to be another person for a few weeks/months. It’s art, and powerful, but come on now.

I also have 50 blank CD-R discs on the way, so you bet I'm going to burning Dreamcast games like a real 90s/00s pirate.

Currently listening to a CD on my newly acquired Sega Dreamcast. No, it's not 9/9/99... It's 2026 and we're thriving over here, baby.

Watching highlights from the Argentina-England game after watching it and it’s just insane what Messi is doing. And his teammates! The passing is incredible. Then it’s like he’s resting until the right moment and all of a sudden completely takes over. So lucky to be alive at the same time as him.

RIP Sam Neill, what terrible news to wake up to. I can tell based on my feed than this man was important to so many people, just like he was to me. This is up there with Anthony Bourdain for me in terms of formative impact. Always looked forward to his next role or next social media video.

People will say stuff like "No, you should keep supporting Xbox for the people who are still there!" When, in all actuality, it doesn't matter how well or how badly a game performs, those people are at the whim of their ax-wielding leadership. I was already done with Xbox, this just confirms it.

Same with Sony, at this point. So many bad bets that are hurting people for the sake of exponential growth that doesn't exist. The day companies realize when enough is enough and that stability is more important than growth, then we can start getting somewhere. Won't happen though.

The best part of this is blaming the "current components crisis" that Microsoft has a HUGE ROLE in... nice try on that one.

"Effective August 1, 2026, the price of XBOX consoles will increase by US$100 for 512 GB models and US$150 for 1 TB models. We will be updating prices worldwide. We will also be sunsetting our 2 TB model." news.xbox.com/en-us/2026/0...

I know hardware/component costs are a factor, but continues to be wild to me that the answer to "consumer electronics sales are struggling" is to RAISE THE PRICE. We already can't afford basic necessities, and y'all think we'll spend $750 on an Xbox? You're out of your minds.

Ronaldo is a great player, no doubt about it, but he must be insufferable to play with. Constantly complaining, constantly calling for the ball when he's not in a good position for it, etc.

When you watch Portugal play compared to Argentina, they are both playing through their superstar, but with Portugal it feels like they HAVE to get him the ball and with Messi they WANT to get him the ball.

And now I won’t be buying it.

Sega confirms and responds to generative AI content in the new Crazy Taxi. "Generative AI was used to support our teams during the development of background assets for Crazy Taxi: World Tour," Sega says. gameinformer.com/2026/06/07/s...

Our entire economy is based on a company/brand having a good enough idea or just doing well enough to get acquired for millions of dollars, following by that company/brand being ran into the ground.
