Just read and signed @deno.land's petition to the US patent office to cancel Oracle's JavaScript™ trademark. Seems like a pretty cut and dry case to me. Stand with the JS community by signing the open letter at javascript.tm.
@deno.land seems committed to this fight and I'm grateful they're taking the stand. To show my support I just donated to their go fund me. If you've gained anything from the JS community, consider giving back: gofund.me/a5435146b

This month, NIST (www.nist.gov) finalized the specs for some post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards. Current encryption techniques are vulnerable if/when a sufficiently powerful quantum computer tries to before force them.
Chalk Talk had a couple of good videos with some introductory explanations about how it works. Knowing almost nothing about PQC, it was a great starting point for me. youtu.be/_C5dkUiiQnw?...

Just hit 600 days learning foreign languages on Duolingo! Been focusing on Japanese and it's been very helpful on my trip. I wouldn't say I'm fluent but it's taught me a good foundation. If you're thinking of learning a language give it a try: invite.duolingo.com/BDHTZTB5CWWK...
@warp.dev just released Warp for linux today! Really looking forward to using this!! If you're on mac or linux check them out: app.warp.dev/referral/KP9...
PSA: Take the time to read through VS Code's Release Notes. Coworkers often ask how I know about feature x, and it's because I always skim the release notes for each update. This time around I'm excited for the newly added Sticky Scroll in tree views! code.visualstudio.com/updates/v1_8...
I recently started the AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) course by Adrian Cantrill and it's been awesome! He does a fantastic job explaining the concepts in a real-world way. If you've considered getting a cert, definitely check out his courses: learn.cantrill.io
