This is interesting to note because if you look at soccer as a whole, most mid-season firings don't actually garner much improvement. The Crew seemingly has mostly bucked this trend over a large sample size. I wonder why. #Crew96

Matt@morphosis7.bsky.social

The #Crew96 have changed coaches in the middle of a season five times: 1996, 2001, 2005, 2013, and 2026. I got curious to see how the team's fortunes changed across those seasons, and this chart is the result.

In other news, yay to my soccer teams. Spurs won at Stamford Bridge for the first time in over 8 years in dominant fashion, and the Crew won a comfortable one to get close to the playoffs. Probably the best combined soccer day I've had in a while. #Crew96 #Coys

I know somebody will give me hate for this but the love for Obama is unreal. He is way more conservative than anyone acts like. And yes I hate Trump. Both of them have shit politics. Every President has shit politics. You have to be a bit fascist to be President. Go watch @fdsignifier.bsky.social

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

there is no other current or former politician in the US who gets this sort of response

Talk about him in his most recent video. There are others who have spoken to who Obama exactly is as a politician, but FD is the most recent I saw speak to what he actually is.

This has really started looking like the game vs. Charlotte. I hope that it has the same end result. #Crew96

WHY HAS BALL NOT GONE IN!?! AAAAAAHHHH!!!!! #Crew96

@lindsayellis.bsky.social

Q:"And then on the other side St. Louis. They're a great team. You watched tape this week. They've been on a great run. What is it you see that makes them so good?" Josef Martinez:"I'll be honest. I don't watch soccer. I uh...watch baseball." 😂 I like the honesty. #Crew96

Not that it is relevant to the question of lethal force in this case, which is in no way excusable, but the store never produced evidence of shoplifting and the mother was never charged with a crime. My heart breaks for this poor baby.

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH HE FINALLY SCORED!!!!! #Crew96

The Crew have taken 49 shots in their last 3 halves and have scored 3 goals. That's not good. #Crew96

For you math fans out there, that's about a 6% conversion rate.

You know, I'm starting to think this Brais guy might be good or something. #Crew96

Zaroury is going to score one of those long shots at some point, right? #Crew96

thebuckeyeflame.comOhio’s new Republican bill raises a familiar question: Which families count?The Family Sovereignty Act would limit who can allege that a child appears abused or neglected.

The Buckeye Flame

@thebuckeyeflame.com

With Ohio legislators home campaigning in their districts, one Republican quietly introduced a bill to prevent an LGBTQ+ youth from being raised by a non-parent supportive adult – like a grandparent – even if the youth has been rejected by their parents for being LGBTQ+.

That was a pretty infuriating sequence to watch. #Crew96

So, uh, my dog got lost in the woods for about 25 minutes of that half. I missed both goals looking for her. She's now back safe but trembling in my lap currently. Did I miss much? #Crew96

Well, wasn't aware of this. This blows ass. If this team wants our respect they should need our message. Many people can coach at the youth and reserve level and do a good job, so why hold on to someone who could potentially imbue our players with a bigoted mindset? Our youth deserve better. #Crew96

thepinknews.comThe Proclaimers defend Graham Linehan's trans viewsThe Proclaimers have waded into the trans rights debate, defending Graham Linehan as they promote their new album, You May Offend.

"I’m not transphobic. I’m not against a man identifying as a woman, dressing as a woman. I’m not against any of that. All I’m against is saying that he actually is a woman when he’s not a woman." He's not against trans people. All he's saying is that he's against trans people. Just word slop.

Here's hoping we get another chance on the edge of the box with Gomes coming in. #Crew96

I'm kind of stunned it wasn't. I think he did block it with his arm but there wasn't a good enough camera angle to say it definitively did.
