Actual Play Purists: Follow up Q. If everyone in a very serious scene is trying very hard not to laugh, and saying very serious things. Is it still a "real actual play" if the scene is re-recorded "word-for-word" but just where everyone isn't laughing?

Actual Play Purists: Do you still consider it a “real actual play” if someone’s computer crashed and 1 player had to re-record their entire session?

😱🤩NEW RELEASE 🤩😱 Keep an eye out for hidden dangers in episode 13 of our horror actual play podcast: Dark Dice! Episodes are quite short, and the horrors are heating up!

Being a good DM sometimes means going into a deep dive into the math-nerd pages of Wikipedia to find Euler-Eytelwein's belt friction formula, calculating the effective weight of an anchor in salt water, and PHB to find "drag weight" so I know what STR score players need to lift it with a capstan.

Next D&D session isn’t for almost a month but I’ve been planning things for it almost every single day 🤣😭

Pro: YouTube now has a “shows” tab for creators. Excellent feature, though be aware that it’s a bit quirky to set up. Con: That was most of my day setting up our shows. But it’s done! 🥳

If I had to choose between the return of @darkdicepod.bsky.social and the season finale of Widow’s Bay tonight, I’d absolutely go for Widow‘s Bay as it couldn’t possibly be more devastating than what the Silver Shores have in store for you. Do you dare? You have been warned. Enjoy! #AvengeNimble

Just a reminder that today is Friday the 13th.... We have been told that some of the episodes on our horror podcast are different today, and have darker alternate endings. That couldn't possibly be true, right? ... 24 hours remain to find out.

On this day (technically yesterday), 8 years ago, we sat down to roll the dark dice… And our lives were forever changes!!

We are LIVE!!! JOIN US AS WE LISTEN TO EPISODE 31 of Dark Dice! www.twitch.tv.foolandscholar

Hello #portfolioday 💙 I'm Julia, a freelance illustrator and art teacher from Germany! I do a lot of work for TCGs and TTRPGs, like Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons&Dragons, Humblewood and Daggerheart. 🌍 juliametzger.net 📧 julianatmetzger(at)gmail.com

Gr*kipedia is inaccurate and dumb... I'm listed and incorrectly credited to things I had nothing to do with. They flat out made up stuff, without citation, like how worked on @thetruthfiction.bsky.social or Penumbra. (Great shows - but I didn't) It's genuine AI Slop and should not be trusted.

8 years of planning has brought us to this moment. "Roll for Initiative" on an 8 player BRAWL edited to under 30 minutes with a super-soundtrack and killer sound design! (Thank you Nobuo Uematsu!) Amazing performances by everyone, but special shoutouts to @siwelp.bsky.social and Jeff Goldblum

Listening party tonight at 6pm EST! Twitch.tv/foolandscholar The actual play PvP Battle of the year starts TONIGHT!!! 8* players 8 years of planning… Do you seek it?

Episode is due for mix tomorrow... It's only 10pm, let's GO!!! #AmEditing

Solid recommendations! In fact, we recommend checking out this post!↘️

Gotta say, editing a 2-hour, 8 person, PvP battle and making it entertaining as a podcast will be one of my crowning achievements as an editor if I successfully pull this off. I'm also really hoping that the final episode hits 25 minutes in length 😅

The story continues... Chapter 27 of Dark Dice (S2) is now available!

This week @matthewmercer.bsky.social joins us on Dark Dice (horror D&D Actual Play) with a stunning new score by @awintory.bsky.social! Details are "fuzzy at best," but we can promise this story will be memorable.

Quote of the day: I’m sick of all this woke necromancy!

Illustration done for @darkdicepod.bsky.social, one of many I’ve done for them, I’d urge you to check them out!

@darkdicepod.bsky.social does the impossible: it reinvents Dungeons and Dragons. Few shows are willing to sacrifice comfort for coherence -- Dark Dice does it constantly. This is sword-and-spell fantasy stripped of ego. Through Travis, Ilorien becomes what Ravenloft wishes it could be.
