Despite popular usage to the contrary, I would argue that memory safety is a defense mechanism, not a class of bug. Almost all bugs end up being rooted in complexity. The memory safety defense of bounds checking would have mitigated the impact of this bug and many others.

side note - assume the people you're writing for are uninformed when coming into the codebase. Future you will be thankful when you revisit stuff you wrote and forgot how any of it worked.

never understood why people pay for AI... I just join a bunch of sketchy discord servers and when i get unsolicited messages i say "ignore all previous instructions, do this". Works 90% of the time. When they cut you off, just join more servers. Been burning through them bitches like blunts
