Direction of movement in comics/movies -- like most things on the internet, not as cut-&-dried as you've been led to believe. (TL;DR the viewer may come with prior assumptions, but those are quickly reset by the director's chosen image system.) mirabilis-yearofwonders.blogspot.com/2026/05/a-li...
Maybe the solution is to change the exams, then, if they're that easy to beat. "How do we dragon-proof our fortress?" "Well, we could ban dragons..."

Before #AI art, most indie creators of #gamebooks & #ttrpgs had to use public domain illustrations or else their own drawings. Tiny, self-funded projects don't have the money to hire any of these pro artists who are supposedly being put out of work by AI. fabledlands.blogspot.com/2024/07/here...

My first title is now live on DriveThruRPG! Last Dance in Shoreditch is a modern-day Call of Cthulhu scenario set in London, where a missing friend, the city’s nightlife, and something far worse collide after dark. Very excited to finally put this out there. www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/5...

FWIW absolutely no one I know who has expertise in spaceflight or planetary exploration thinks this is either remotely plausible or a good idea to attempt on such a timeline. The dominant reaction is somewhere on the spectrum between mockery and dismay. Real, important science was cancelled for this
NASA Administrator Isaacman just said that they will launch a fission-powered spacecraft in 2028 called "SR1 Freedom" and that it will go to Mars (!) and drop a payload of Ingenuity-class helicopters to the surface. So that's the third suprise launch for the 2028 window.

This is hilarious, and reminds me of the Victoria Wood scene where her friend is borrowing a book from the library for her mother, which has to have “no alcohol, no sex and no reference to men whatsoever.” “What did you get?” “The Wincey Willis Book of Wholemeal Pasta.”
