‘The Loud House’ received a last-minute renewal, Jessica Borutski, the show’s head director since Season 4, confirmed on a recent podcast. Production has moved from the U.S. to Canada, with the entire production crew replaced while the voice cast remains.

The show became a success because of the crew involved and they get rewarded by all being fired/not renewed as production moves to Canada, where Canadians get cursed by being paid dirt and being yelled at to deliver the same quality for less money and most likely less time.

Courier came with this piece today to my warehouse - a large scale poster from 1981 by Miya Okazato for the Kyoshiro Yuzuki FC. This particular print came all the way from Ehime from an art sale! Really happy to own this work of Sayla & Char.

"I'm sorry John Cale, but Lou says you are fired from our seminal music group!" So Alex Robinson creates a fabulous cartoon featuring The Velvet Underground & does so with the best ever homage to Curt Swan & Stan Kaye's famous cover to 1958's Adventure Comics #247.

people love cartoons. they are wildly popular. it's crazy to me that a tiny miniscule group of parasites called "shareholders" attached themselves to the animation industry & dismantled it for such short term gain. that's everything nowadays. ig the ability to do things has to be freed from money?

Yesterday I heard someone in a youtube video mispronounce "exacerbate" like "exasterbate" and ever since then I've been trying to think of a way to also loop in "exasperate" to make a super-word to describe an increasingly frustrating beat-off experience

To put this in perspective chestnut trees used to be dominant species in the United States. Billions of trees were killed by fungal blight and now fully grown America chestnuts are functionally extinct. There is no getting them back. Ever. All for a data center. www.gadgetreview.com/one-of-ameri...

Huge mistake asking Fo to order the flowers instead of asking Frien

Entire ownership group filled with the dumbest motherfuckers ever I’m crying

Still hunting! If you or someone you know is hiring cartoonists for a cartoon show I can do that

I did a drawing of Infectious Lass for this in case there's a Legion of Substitute Heroes cartoon in the works that I might be allowed to work on. But anything!

I spent some time today on a Who's Who in the Legion InDesign project, taking all the LSH entries from the original Who's Who series. It's fun to do stuff like this

Does anyone I know have the ability to give me 600dpi scans of the Dawnstar and Insect Queen entries from Who's Who with only my undying gratitude for payment?

One of my favorite things about Gus Arriola, and what I believe was in no small part responsible for the incomparable excellence of his work, is that he absolutely hated being a working cartoonist.

Tomb Heintjes@hogansalley.bsky.social

I was recalling the time I phoned Gus Arriola to include him in the “Q&A” department in Hogan’s Alley #10. I asked him the same question I asked the other cartoonists: “What advice would you give to aspiring cartoonists?” He thought for a second and said “Do you have a pen?” Then he answered.

Howard V. Brown did a lot of great 1930s pulp sci-fi magazine covers. Nevertheless, his June 1924 cover to "Scientific American" might be my favorite work of his, despite not actually being science fiction. I love the nonchalant surrealism.
