That its explains the exaggerated tone, the cringe-worthy silliness and the lack of seriousness of the whole adventure. Somewhere out there, is a darker more truthful and tragic adventure that deals with Gorr the God-killer and Jane's cancer/death. Thor is in anguish by the end of it.

Really kinda hate the defeatist tone of “…not clear who or what could constrain him.” He’s not immortal, he’s not invincible. He’s a terrible person and he will one day (soon hopefully) disappear from our lives. The damage is going to take longer to deal with - the man? He’s not long for this world.
