so…. had to cancel plans for scheduled travel w/ my extended family for the interment of my fathers’ ashes this week, after my brother was suddenly diagnosed with a very serious disease. I had to fly home instead.

i think bsky has some annoying people running it and lacks some features but as of right now it is just absolutely insanely better than the alternatives. twitter is a toilet that fires waste into your home instead of taking it away and facebook (and all it’s other programs) is a privacy nightmare
