Big Tech should use their profits to build their own energy supply systems completely separate from other grids and with at least 80% being renewable. And no tax breaks. Stop corporate welfare. Put the power back into labor rather than capital.

Attn: USPS changes mean your ballot may not be postmarked the same day you mail it. Don’t wait until Election Day! Deadlines vary by state. Some require ballots to ARRIVE by Election Day, not just be postmarked.

Anyone else take a TINY bit of comfort that the only things propping up Republicans are Elon Musk and a small percentage of the population that goes to Trump rallies? Like, it feels like the party is pretty thoroughly being held up artificially. The nation doesn't like Republican policy.

THIS SHOULD BE GETTING MORE ATTENTION Wedgewood Polls admitted that the vast majority of its election polls were based on fabricated data. And these major news orgs fell for it: The New York Times, POLITICO, Newsweek, MS NOW, The Hill, The Daily Beast & Breitbart.

The contribution limit for an individual is $3,500. Elon Musk, a government contractor, is trying to purchase Congress. Billionaires are smothering our elections for their personal gain. Get big money out of politics.

Once again, the world has become one where, if you're not a multinational corporation, you're fucked. And more often than not, you're fucked because of multinational corporations.

Pushing hard to expand the good old American Police State

ICE is fast-tracking a $100 million domestic surveillance program to put agents in more than two dozen cities and DC, in what contracting and surveillance experts said would be a significant expansion of the agency’s ability to reach into private lives. buff.ly/ErYvHW7

"A senior source told the Telegraph that after the chaos and violence that followed the restriction, Musk was concerned about negative consumer reactions in Europe." Anyone supporting Ukraine should drop their Starlink accounts.

Because Putin has such a great reputation as a friend of the US and ready to help out whenever he can! Trump is such a dope. Also, aren't Iran and Russia selling oil to China and using the yuan, thus skirting the entire global oil market that's based on the US Dollar

From what I understand China has established a secondary oil market based on their yuan with both Russia and Iran. This means that the US is no longer the gatekeeper to the world oil economy. We are watching global regime change from the US to China. Thanks Donnie and all the duped voters!

At least he's consistent in SOMEthing! Rapists apparently stick up for each other.

Great example of "everyone thinks they way I do" Personally, I don't need to be on the Internet when I fly. And increasingly, the Internet has been turned to shit by folks like Musk anyway, so going back to 1990 seems kinda nice

I think the "is AI conscious" thing overestimates what consciousness is. What if LLMs are conscious, not because they're super advanced, but rather because human "consciousness" is pretty basic (and we only THINK we're super advanced)? www.404media.co/someone-tort...

404media.coSomeone ‘Torturing’ LLMs in a Robot Prison Has Triggered the Dumbest Debate in AI YetThe "AI Torture Chamber" has opened an upsetting and absurd window into the effective altruist obsession with "model welfare."

2) Like, why do insects do what they do? Some insects have incredibly complex behaviors. Why? That's just the stimulus/response programming that species has developed over its evolution. Humans have a similar stimulus/response programming, it's just insanely complex and we call it "consciousness".

HUGE: Autozone workers just won the first ever union at the company. Despite Autozone spending an estimated $210,696 and using every tactic in the book to stop just 11 workers from forming a union, the small shop in New York chose to unionize today. These workers will now join the @uaw.org.
