I should be sleeping, but the last… many chapters of Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil weren’t going to read themselves. I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this book, it’s certainly my favourite read of the year so far. This is pure joy to read. app.thestorygraph.com/books/bcef72...

It's Sunday and I was updating some bits on my Pi Zero 2 and thought, damn thing is a little trooper! So I did a small write-up on it. With all the talk about bigger data centres, more processing power, it's nice to go back a bit and see what you can do with less www.dazfuller.uk/posts/2026-0...

dazfuller.ukMy hard working Pi Zero 2I am currently writing this on my iMac. Next to me is my work MacBook Pro, and beside that is an older Microsoft Surface Pro currently running Linux Mint. Behind me is my Creality Ender 3v2 3D printer with a Raspberry Pi 3 connected to it running OctoPrint. Just to the side of me is another Raspberry Pi 3 running my secondary PiHole with Unbound as my DNS resolver (my primary is downstairs wired into the main router).

I see a lot about people not knowing SQL or where to start, so I looked into what people can do using as few tools as possible. About a year ago DuckDB released their UI extension, I had a look to see if it's any good and what you get for free (spoiler quite a lot) www.dazfuller.uk/posts/2026-0...

dazfuller.ukExploring DuckDB UII had a little time for a change and so thought I’d spend a bit of time exploring something different. One of the things that I find weird is the number of devs who say that they “can’t do SQL”. SQL i...

I finally finished writing up my Dapper and Vectors post. I got a flash of inspiration so it goes off a bit talking about FluentMigrator and sqlite-vec as well. But I had fun doing it which is surely the point #DotNet #Vectors #Dapper www.dazfuller.uk/posts/2026-0...

I recently updated my website to include a human.json file, so I wrote a quick post showing which guide I followed, and what I did differently #HumanJson www.dazfuller.uk/posts/2026-0...

dazfuller.ukhuman.jsonRecently I came across the human.json protocol, which is implemented to allow humans to assert ownership of site content and to vouch for the humanity of others. Given the proliferation of AI-generated slop out on the internet and seeping its way into other aspects of our lives through ads, TV and more, finding ways of vouching for genuine human content is more important than ever. Whilst the protocol isn’t a guarantee (it’s easy for AI-generated sites to create their own JSON files and vouch for each other after all), having the ability to work out if a site is vouched for by someone you trust can make a difference.

I was updating my human.json file using #GoLand from @jetbrains.com It uses full-line code completion which is actually pretty good Except... It popped up while I was writing into my yaml file with an automatic suggestion for the URL. It's wrong, but I tried it Dear reader. I was rick-rolled!
