This is what sheet music looks like on iPhone Duo 👀 🎶 I've been working on bringing Tutti to iPhone with the iPhone Duo on launch day! It's been really fun designing for this larger canvas and I'm just brimming with ideas for where I want to take it next!

🤫Feeling the eerie quiet after #WWDC26? Lets make some noise together again in November at SWIFTSONIC! 🎸We dropped SWIFTSONIC ROCKSTAR at WWDC where you can beat @swifteves.bsky.social in a guitar duel for a cheaper ticket! Think you can become rock royalty? 🕹️https://swiftsonicconf.com/rockstar/

Still no icon showing up for Tutti on the iPadOS 26 App Store. Hurts to spend months working on a release and then have this happen. If you work for Apple and/or have any idea how to resolve, I'd appreciate the help <3

My app Tutti, a sheet music reader for iPad, has an update coming out Tomorrow (pending app review). It’s being updated with the new design and Liquid Glass! If you read music, give it a try and let me know what you think! Here is a video demo showing off the new design. gettutti.app

So I'm currently vibe coding a new PDF Viewer for Tutti that is built on top of the PDFKit utility classes. GPT-5 is so far doing really well. I've started to settle into a flow: Vibe code a small piece of functionality, and then review the code to find ways to simplify and reduce complexity.

If the AI consistently goes tries to go in a direction that I know is a dead-end, I'll update the overall project prompt to better steer it for future prompts. I'm starting to see the future of software development and I kind of like it?

GPT-5 was super impressive this morning and now around lunch time EST it's acting more like GPT-3 and the website is barely responsive. Guessing there is huge demand with the new model being released. Anyone else experiencing the same?

Tutti v3.0 is now available on the app store! I've been working really hard on this update. So happy it's finally out in the world! It includes: - A new split-view design - Dark mode support across the app - A new onboarding experience - lots of smaller tweaks, animations, and bug fixes

New in SFSymbols for iOS 26, Draw effects!! Five beautiful examples.. stay till the end for the code sample. First up, "rainbow" with .symbolRenderingMode(.multicolor). Symmetrical symbols draw outward from the center.

Another great example: "scribble.variable" with a .green.gradient foregroundStyle. Showcasing another new addition to iOS 26. Gradient foregroundStyles on symbols!

This effect is flexible! For example, you can tell the effect to draw each layer individually by applying the symbol effect like this: .symbolEffect(.drawOn.individually, isActive: isShowing)

Tutti's onboarding flow is coming along nicely! I'm noticing that I really enjoy animating SF Symbols.. Should I animate all of them? 🤩

Need to toggle between iconOnly and titleAndIcon label styles in SwiftUI? You can create your own custom LabelStyle and add some fun transition animations :D code below 👇

The custom label style which takes in a isExpanded boolean and transitions with a matched geometry effect alongside an opacity and scale transition. You can customize this any way you want!

Fun SwiftUI tip - conditionally applying background and foreground styles: .background(filled ? AnyShapeStyle(.thickMaterial) : AnyShapeStyle(.clear)) Utilize the AnyShapeStyle wrapper to conditionally apply your style.

What's the problem and why does this work? You'll notice that some view modifiers in SwiftUI like .background or .foreground are expecting you to pass it a type that conforms to the protocol ShapeStyle. So you can't just toggle between Material and Color because while they are two different types

AnyShapeStyle provides us with a common concrete type that we can use when toggling between two different shape styles. Now everyone's happy! You, the compiler, and SwiftUI!

I am SO excited to launch this in a few days. After lots of thought, and various design iterations... Here is a little sneak peak at Tutti's metronome! Built with #AudioKit and #SwiftUI

You can set the metronome to have between 1 - 8 beats per measure and you can set it to count with a subdivision of one (shown above), in addition to duple, triple, and quadruple subdivisions. You can also customize the rhythm by turning off/on individual beats.

Transitions were done using a combination of SwiftUI transitions and matchedGeometryEffects. I could probably write several blog posts about the creation of the tool but I do not yet have a blog! :D In the meantime, please ask me anything you are curious about. I'm happy to share what I've learned

Truth. Creative engineers don’t want to spend their time grinding LeetCode. They want to spend their time building great products!

Thomas Ricouard@dimillian.app

Leetcode interviews is why you end up with boring engineers and boring companies building boring products. Training on LeetCode make your uncreative and bored. This is solving absolutely 0 problems.
