One thing the reviews I've seen on the Duo don't say is just how SOLID the inner display feels. Having tried many Android foldables, the displays on those all feel plasticy and sub-premium. The Duo is a league above.

For all those AI peeps saying "apps are dead because AI can make them for you on the spot!" Or the like: Work at an Apple Store the day after a new version of iOS comes out and moves a button in an app and see how well the non-technical crowd handles it.

Apps provided a consistent UI and workflow for businesses, users, and more. Inconsistent or ephemeral UI is dead as a concept for these reasons. I do think the danger of app cloning is getting higher every day, especially since we are seeing apps and games get cloned faster and faster.

With that said I don't know the solution but the truth is somewhere in the middle ground I think. Modular UI that can adapt (charts, simple toggles, maps, lists, etc) but full UI experiences that are consistent for more focused work/use cases.

Man, I have weird feelings about LLMs. I hate so much about it and yet I enjoy using it. But I also hate using it. But I love some of what it's enabled for me. I hate that I love that. It's going to take my job. It can't do my job. I'm elated about the future. I'm depressed about the future.

Ok here is the real question. For a busy dad and developer who barely has time to work on his own apps and show them off meaningfully: how do you also be your own business manager, marketer, blog writer, designer, and work a full time job?

So here is a fun brain teaser for everyone: How do you share how much of an awesome engineer and all the side projects you do without playing the social media game? Asking for a friend.

Every time I go to respond to something on social media I end up deleting my response because holy shit there is no reason to reply to 90% of the things people flop out of their brains.

Thinking about creating a bot to request Apple make Apple Passwords for Linux. I don't want to switch to a different client and having to manually type stuff in on CachyOS is a PITA. Come on Apple! Make it happen!

The worst part of coming home after WWDC is partially writing a blog post about your experience but not know what to write because you have so much to say.

Got some extra cash left from WWDC? Probably not! But hey, if you want to support Step Into Vision we could certainly use it

Step Into Vision@stepinto.vision

If you love the work we do at Step Into Vision, please support us! None of us get paid for this, but people like you have helped to ensure our operating costs are covered. We're so grateful to everyone who has supported our work over the last two years. #WWDC #visionOS ko-fi.com/stepinto

I had an amazing week for #wwdc and hosting CommunityKit! I met so many amazing people and was so charged up by the week that I'm going into a deep coma while I process everything. I'm hoping to get a blog post up about my experience soon!

Spent some time today getting my personal site ready for updates! I'm switching over from Squarespace to Cloudflare Pages so I'm rebuilding the site from scratch. It's getting close, just last minute changes. Big change is that I'm going to start a blog as well!

I've been quiet lately because life is insane but I'm also working on a number of side projects. Just a give a few sneak peeks: - Not one, but 6 apps!!! 🎶🎮🕹️📺📁💡 - Updates to Sage RPG and my personal site 📖 - A new website idea 👾 - CommunityKit 2.0 🧑‍💻 And lots more going on!

This is the take I agree with. The large scale LLMs are going to phase out in favor of local LLMs. Look at GPT OSS 20B and tell me it’s not good enough for 90% of use cases.

Hey all, I generally don't like asking for help this way but my sister has been battling endometriosis and needs some help. She has setup a GoFundMe to help with the medical costs since she needs to see an out of state specialist. Please share or donate if you can: www.gofundme.com/f/fund-lizs-...

Hot take: Gen-AI isn’t cutting edge for movie visuals. It only replicates, it doesn’t innovate.

✨ New Article Out Now! "Indie, Alone, and Figuring It Out" I wrote about what indie life actually feels like - the freedom, the loneliness, the pressure, the unexpected work, and the small moments that make it all worth every bit. danijelavrzan.com/posts/2025/1...

Developers – I will be sharing posts from apps updated for iOS 26 tomorrow. Create a post sharing both what your app does and what’s new, and I’ll add it to an ongoing thread – on all platforms. Reply here or when you see the post on Monday. Looking forward to seeing your updates!
