This is such a bummer. CBW was the first new wave craft beer place here in the boom of beer in the late aughts. End of an era for Buffalo beer.

I appreciate their efforts to anchor unheralded spots like Niagara on the West Side, and took a stab at The Falls. But in the meantime you've got Big Ditch in a premium spot downtown thats doing as well as anything. Maybe the bigger swings weren't worth it.

Mostly I'll always miss the little spot off of Niagara before the move. Walking in to get a beer or two while deciding on a growler, chatting with the brewers who were so excited for you to try their beer. That era is gone, which is just a thing that happens, but I'll miss it.

I think losing the spot on Elmwood because the construction took so long really killed them. They needed a spot they could really thrive, and Chandler wasn't it.

Patrick Mahomes is “fun” to watch like it’s fun to see your grandma do the Cupid Shuffle at a wedding. Josh Allen is fun to watch like it’d be fun to see a gorilla riding a rocket ship at a rodeo.

I would love if the defense could at leastaje it look as difficult to score for their opponent as the offense makes it fir themselves.

If I played baseball I would never be able to take pitch down 0-2. I'd swing every time. The pitch could be 8 feet outside the strike zone. It could hit the dirt halfway between the mound and home plate. I'd swing if the pitcher tried to throw to first to catch a runner out. Everyone would hate me.

Been watching some old Vincent Price B horror movies this week and if you can overlook some of the special effects they hold up pretty well. Not sure I'd call them scary, but definitely creepy.

A lot of that movie was mostly "weirdos in a weird village where its all weird and wrong but you can't tell exactly why", which is a trope I love, but the final scene is pretty powerful.
