I spoke to 100 people who showed up on a random Wednesday night to hear about corruption and how we fight back at the local level. Red state folks proving we here and are organizing. And voting.

Our family cabin is just 2-3 miles from this beast. When it nearly burned years ago Forest Service personnel wrapped it in flame retardant material. The fire came oh-so-close but was diverted away at the last minute. Hopefully we are lucky again. Our thoughts are with the fire crews.

Happy Aphelion Day! Earth reaches its farthest point from the sun on July 6th. Remember, Earth's tilt, day length, and sun angle are the primary drivers of seasons not the distance from the Earth and the Sun. Science! #science #aphelion

Life-saving rains have transformed the neighborhood. Chick peas, camelina, spring wheat and peas are thriving! Winter wheat suffered from hard late frosts and drought but looks much improved from a month ago. Mother nature needs to keep her hail storms to herself. #GoldenTriangle #MontanaAg

Saturday Data: Higher share of women with jobs hold college degree than for men. The education gap (women passed men in 2005) continues to grow. About half of employed women (49.6%) had a BA, compared with 41.7% of employed men.

We adopted our son. It seems all TV dramas must feature adoption in at least 1 plot, the new Grantchester being the most recent I've watched. Not a single depiction of what birth parents, adoptive parents, adopted people and all their families go through is the least bit accurate. I find it irksome.

Two points to consider when Juras talks about corner crossing and public lands. Every story needs to acknowledge Juras is a member of the Galt family. The Galt ranches block a huge swath of public lands from public access.

All is NOT well in Montana's Golden Triangle. My husband's company is offering suicide prevention training to their adjusters who work in this area. I've lived here for 60 years and never seen anything so dire. And FYI, many rural people suffering are not MAGAts. Don't @ me with that bullshit.
