RN of 50 years, including Public Health Nursing, concerned with US healthcare. RFK, Jr. anywhere near our healthcare system is a disaster in the making. Tuberculosis, Measles & Bird Flu, yet CDC reporting is gagged. Can’t make it up!

So, Ghislane Maxwell now resides in Texas in a minimal security “camp” after meeting with Trump’s former personal attorney, now DOJ Deputy AG. Nothing to see here! Just some special perks to keep someone quiet is my guess. The Epstein/Maxwell survivors and families must be outraged!

Ken Paxton: The criticism has been that I let a child predator out after one day. Well guess what? They served 60 days.

The only way to neutralize Fetterman is by flipping five senate seats instead of four in the midterms. He can’t be impeached or recalled, and there aren’t enough republican votes to expel him. He’s there until 2028 unless he resigns.

It's nuts that Republicans in Congress DRAGGED Secretary of Defense LLoyd Austin through hearings for going to the doctor one day, but Mitch McConnell is out for four months and that's totes fine.

I'm one. I served from 1994-1999 and did 2 deployments to the gulf. One much tougher than the other, but both only lasted 6 months. It's horrific what these sailors are being subjected to currently.

Start the clock. Now that Pirro has admitted the reflecting pool was Trump’s fault, who lasts longer? Pirro, or explosive diarrhea lettuce.

I remember when Bill Clinton met with the Attorney General for three minutes when Hillary was being investigated for mishandling classified information, and the republicans cried bloody murder. Now, the AG nominee is covering for pedophiles and that seems okay. WHAT THE FUCK?

No other Justice Department has screwed up so much, so badly & been forced to dismiss its own cases before a Judge bashed them. Oh, and this happened on Todd Blanche’s watch.

I do not think there is sufficient appreciation for how catastrophic yesterday’s decision in Slaughter is for this country. As Justice Sotomayor said in her dissent and she intoned from the bench yesterday, “today the majority reshapes our Govt.”

DebTex reposted

There's no sugar-coating Slaughter. It's an enormously important ruling (far more important than the other three decisions #SCOTUS handed down today). It's a huge win for Trump/the executive. And it's going to have massive ramifications for the functioning of the government long after Trump is gone.

Congress can pass all the laws it wants, but this court will gut them unless Congress strips jurisdiction. We have to add four seats, have 18 year term limits with senior status and staggered appointments, and create actual ethics rules with consequences. Project 2029.

The Supreme Court gutted independent agencies. Congress must fight back. After the conservative majority’s ruling in Trump v. Slaughter, it’s up to the legislative branch to protect Americans.

“He owns 11 homes” cannot be repeated enough

James Talarico@jamestalarico.bsky.social

Since taking office, Ken Paxton has become a multi-millionaire while our pay has stagnated. He owns 11 homes while most Texans can’t afford one. He trades favors with rich donors while blocking overtime pay for workers. Paxton doesn’t serve us — he serves himself.

Watching a series of former Confederate states rush to eliminate any vestige of black representation in the House pretty much answers the question whether the Voting Rights Act was still necessary.
