One of the coolest things (in my opinion) about print media, is that some pretty obscure games (and some bigger ones) are permanently recorded in history. Even if they don’t eventually get released. Debug is in local and national libraries, museums, archives, and thousands of private collections!

We’re going to try and do this every month from now onwards. We think it could be great fun! If you’re chosen, you’ll need to supply a print-ready file (with our help) within 30 days. Your ad will be placed in the next issue released after the winner is drawn.

A huge thank you to the Debug Magazine team for including me in this issue! I was very happy to write a review for Club Soko. Check it out!

You'd best believe we got our hands on the two-page review we nabbed in @debugmag.com for Echoes of Mystralia. What can we say? We’re suckers for print. If a two-page spread with your name on it sounds good to you, you know where we are:https://bit.ly/big-games-machine-get-in-touch

We’re on the hunt for games writers! Our dream? To find our next staff writer… But freelance opportunities come up each and every month, too. Please DM @mostlyalright.com (Nick, our Games Editor) or if you’re old-school like us, you can also send an email: nick@teamdebug.com Location irrelevant

With Debug #17 fully shipped, we’re going on a road trip to Scotland! Norwich to Dundee, that’s about 8 hours with usual traffic. We might need to stop half way for a meal and a rest… Any recommendations? Leeds? Newcastle?

This campaign of panic was super effective, and we now have our Debug Pet for #18 😊

Debug Magazine@debugmag.com

Red alert. Red alert! We don't have a pet photo for Debug #18 - it's the one thing we need before it goes to the printers! Does you have a photo of your pet with an issue of the magazine? Now's your chance to give them indie gaming stardom

By the way, we’re always on the lookout for writers of interesting gaming features… We are very much indie, and there are also limits to what will fit into a print magazine, but we do pay decent rates! Our standard rate is £300 for a researched 1500 word piece. Transparency is good, folks!

What game did you completely change your mind about? Answers may appear in the next issue, so be as honest as possible. This one could get a little spicy...

This cover was bound to look cool

Earlier this week the lovely folks at @evercade.co.uk invited us to hang out in London for the day, where we got to try the new Nexus handheld One highlight was learning that games editor Nick is taller than every Evercade cartridge ever released #debugontour

We’ve got a more detailed look at the Nexus hardware, plus our thoughts on current and future software, in the upcoming October issue of Debug Spoiler: we really like where this physical-only ecosystem is going

What does this mean for game developers? We believe, good things! If your game has a Japanese localisation, we’ll make our team in Japan aware, and there’s a strong chance of us covering you in multiple regions 🤩 English coverage of Japan-exclusive titles is also now very much on the table
