Since this admin called Putin a ‘Humanitarian’… I also nominate Hitler for the “humanitarian” social programs he enacted inside Nazi Germany like Winterhilfswerk www.nytimes.com/2026/10/21/u...

I hope the Saudi fighter pilot who bombed a school bus in 2018, killing 44 children and 10 adults rots in hell. Ol’ Bone Saw Prince MBS can join him www.nytimes.com/2026/10/11/w...
Cory‘s essays connects the wave of mass surveillance in the US with the destructive and greedy actions of (mostly) tech billionaires. An eye-opening read 😯
In the summer of 2013, two esoteric, technical, incredibly important texts were published within weeks of one another: the first is the Snowden leaks, which revealed a system of global, pervasive digital surveillance. 1/
Dude is whining that he’s misunderstood. But Ellison approved hiring Bari Weiss, who is actively dismantling 60 Minutes, so he can f*ck off www.nytimes.com/2026/08/04/o...
Graham consistently voted for anti-gay legislation his entire career. Notably he went from vehemently anti-Trump to being a enabler and apologist for him. This guy can burn in hell www.nytimes.com/live/2026/07...

Part II of my law and petro-masculinity project, "International Law and Petro-Masculinity" is now on SSRN (and looking for a journal to call home). I would *love* comments from the brilliant international law community on here: papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....
Despite strong Dem primary showings, @nytimes.com discovers a new way to proclaim “Dems in disarray” www.nytimes.com/2026/06/26/u...

BREAKING: we just won our Kennedy Center case! Both the renaming & the closure of the Kennedy Center are enjoined Kudos to our wonderful client @repbeatty.bsky.social & my colleagues @democracydefendersaction.org & Washington Litigation Group This is a 1-2 punch against Trump's corruption
The President announces his grift to the country. And the response? Republicans nod in indolent agreement and watch taxpayers get ripped off.
The president is negotiating against his own administration to shake down taxpayers for $10 billion. The corruption meter is flashing red and sounding the alarm. ca.news.yahoo.com/doj-consider...
Sharing pollinator plants w neighbors is a great idea!
Time for an experiment! You know those cute little roadside stands with honors-system eggs or produce? Look, I know I live in "big scary Philadelphia oooh 👻" but I'm gonna try it. What's the worst that can happen? Thieves create habitat for native bees? Jokes on them! I wanted them to do that!

Among the many crises facing Europe is their dependence on US technology… Which can weaponized, or highly tarrifed, or compromised by security agencies.
The EU can't afford to wait for Trump to brick one or more of its member states to (finally, at long last) take this threat seriously: pluralistic.net/2026/01/01/3... eof/

Non-fiction writers - this is great resource for book launch PR 📚 Give her a follow!
Putting out my periodic call: if you have a book coming out about finance, econ, politics, media or tech, send me a galley. DM me and I’ll give you my email for your PR people. We do author interviews for Slate Money’s Money Talks series and I’m always thinking about columns on these topics
Fire the experts and hire stupid, inexperienced loyalists. Whine about the inevitable consequences when the stupid people make mistakes.
That’s funny, because Nate Swanson, who used to be the point guy on Iran at the NSC but got fired because of Laura Loomer, warned of this in an article written four days before the war started. It was called “Why Iran Will Escalate.”
Epic rant on the effects of AI on writing and writing apps. tl;dr — Enshittification just got a turbo boost 😳
Ed Zitron's a fantastic journalist, capable of turning a close read of AI companies' balance-sheets into an incandescent, exquisitely informed, eye-wateringly profane rant: www.wheresyoured.at/the-ai-bubbl... 1/

*Weird!* Have not seen this story covered in national media like the NYT and WaPo. Solidarity is a key to resistance. Community organizing like this makes it happen.
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation. Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.
Well I’ve already shed tears reading about these heart-breaking ICE arrests. These agents are paid thugs terrorizing a community. How’s your morning going?

This is brilliant: Flood the White House with toy trophies! 🏆
You know all those participation trophies your kids have hundreds of? The ones gathering dust on shelves or sitting in storage until your kid grows up and tells you to toss them? I say we start a campaign to send them to the White House for His Magasty.
Love this! Owl go on record for appreciating the nature we have in our yards and parks.
Big news: I’m writing a book!! I’ll be writing & illustrating a beginner’s guide to appreciating wildlife in cities/suburbs, & how all of us can make our neighborhoods better for those animals. Thank you to my book agent @ericsmithrocks.bsky.social & the folks at Storey for believing in this book!
