A big congratulations to @andyburnham.bsky.social on his resounding win in Makerfield! These results are clear, when the progressive vote unites, Farage and Reform don’t stand a chance.

I find it fascinating that on both sides of the Atlantic there are about 30% base of vile, racist, misogynistic and educationally stupid people. These are the folks that are voting for hate, for division and against their own futures.

I say this wearily, but if Starmer survives, then he dooms Labour and delivers the country to Farage or possibly a Farage/Badenoch coalition. Burnham may not be perfect but he’s the only one I reckon that could stop that happening.

What Reform voters don’t realise is that Reform are run like a football club. Pay your £25 per year membership, they’ll make all the decisions and you can sit back and watch while they get rich. That’s not how political parties work in the UK.
