still didn't sleep much. Had a dream I was on a roof and it was falling apart so I had to be careful where I stepped. But as I got further in, where I walked started to collapse and I ended up stuck up there.

It's dangerous as fuck to go into people's apartments like... You never know what kind of mental state the resident is going to be in. I'm good at deescalating, but man do I never want a crazy white man to get in my face cuz he's shitting himself over a drywall patch again.

It's for sure more chill working in a city since people are more socialized than outer suburb upper middle class idiots who've never had so much as a hang nail but idk. Screaming didn't use to make me panic. Idk if I can do this kind of work any more.

I like helping residents and solving their issues but this current set up of driving to 30 different buildings with no backup if shit gets fucked is unnerving and I'm tired.

I could be injured or killed doing this job and go undiscovered for weeks like... I don't trust this current company to give a shit and call my emergency contact if I suddenly don't show up. And often times the only way to know where I am is the work cellphone.

It's difficult to feel normal doing apartments again after having guns pointed at me, being on call for 6 months straight, having to deal with the police blowing up doors, having people threaten to kill themselves during evictions... Idk.

There's a constant low-level discussion on English-language bluesky about the electoral consequences of transphobic rhetoric from left-liberals but I think it's honestly worse than "they might not vote for you", it's more like, you're cutting yourself off from political labor and talent.

My layer management has gotten much better post my video project since root folders do matter for DaVinci LMAO. It's crazy how much easier my most recent is to this sorta long standing one that was just mistakes of not knowing the software good enough/not being more organized.

As a child I found a way to smudge colored pencil with a really dull white one that could make the texture look smooth on bad paper. it is INSANE how much time, material, and elbow grease it took to get a certain look and I keep catching myself falling into bad habits out of stubbornness LMAO

It's always interesting when I look at my old art and it has way more energy than my current stuff but way less control. All art takes energy and I just can't replicate the energy of an angry early 20s as a mostly calm and hanging in there early 30s LOL
