The Bolsheviks opposed Zionism as bourgeois nationalism. The USSR later repackaged old antisemitic tropes as “anti-Zionism,” recasting Jews as imperialists, racists and Nazis, culminating in the 1975 UN resolution declaring “Zionism is racism,” and relentlessly pushed this at the UN.

Everything would have been so much simpler if I simply said "She's not said she's running yet" and refused to converse about her further and stuck to general principles and stances an elected would need.

I guess all the stuff about voting on Israel or abolitionism or national membership or "woke 1" is mute now, and I suppose for some always was in perspective with the gains from electoral victory. How will this effect the chapter meetings we were supposed to have about this, I wonder?

What had often sounded like an implicit Iranian position is now being stated as an explicit political package. In particular, #2 and #3 are much more detailed than merely “stop bombing #Iran.” Zolghadr is explicitly tying the Hormuz question to Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.
