The thing about Schmitt is that he pulled a typical male stunt. As soon as he realised that he was wrong, he started shouting at Klobuchar to shut her up, which he did not do to any of the men, including Smith. Okay, so he muttered "dirtbag" at him, but that was chickenshit by comparison.

Oh well then...we might as well sit down and wait for the end. We haven't had any time to react. The RIO climate summit was only in 1991. How can anybody expect us to get anything done in a mere twenty-five years. Look how long it took to remedy the problem with the ozone layer.

So, Hydro-electric is non-polluting and more or less renewable energy (unless the reservoirs dry up, which is a thing these days). Solar is an infinite resource, as is wind power. Why are we still building pipelines for the Yahoos?
