That’s not to say grief is easy, of course, it’s absolutely not. And it isn’t to say grief is simple because it’s not that either. It’s powerful and complicated, so much so that it can mean grieving for what your own life could have been but wasn’t.

I had some indication we might win Listener’s Choice. Had no idea we’d take the Gold as well. Among other winners were Amy Poehler, Monica Lewinsky, Khloe Kardashian, Anderson Cooper, and Andy Roddick. I’m glad we all won because otherwise our weekly spaghetti dinners would get a little awkward.
