I went to an art show tonight. At the gallery, someone had written on the wall “Always boo the king.” Art matters.

If you buy a ttrpg book from the big name game, you help an executive increase profitability for shareholders. If you buy a ttrpg from a small indie designer, you help them pay their rent or feed their kid, etc.

I regularly consider deleting this account, just keeping the Monkeyfun account. Then I trade a joke with a fellow designer like Epi or the Bakers or BC and I go, nah. Wouldn’t miss this for the world.

Some people got miffy about Toni Storm coming out in her old outfit, saying she was burying her career for ditching the Timeless gimmick. Now we can see she’s doing something totally new, and we don’t know (for sure) where she’s going with it. And that is marvelous. #AEW

I think I might be done with the layout for my new #ttrpg. Maybe. Kinda. We’ll see how it feels tomorrow morning.

I am about 80% done on the layout of my new WIP. I can tell because I can look at the current version and not wince and feel like an utter sham in my efforts. Now it’s a lot of tsk-ing.

I think Voodoo Doughnut gets too much hate. Everyone who dogs on them has yet to have a late Thursday afternoon leftover from the local donut shop off the 5 freeway to *really* understand what bad donuts taste like.

Every time I share about Libby I think, “People can’t not know Libby right?” And then someone is always happy to learn about Libby! Anyway it’s a library app and you just need a library card to check out audiobooks and ebooks from your library to your phone. It’s great!

Just started the second season of "House of the Dragon". My immediate thoughts during the new opening - "Oh, this is totally a @megueyb.bsky.social thirst trap."

If you like making props for your #ttrpg games, I highly recommend getting some oil cloth. Wrapping *anything* in it makes the item the most precious item on Earth.

Give credit for the roots of your successes. If it’s a TTRPG actual play stream, let the viewers know who made it, who published it, and where they can get their own copy. If it’s a game based on or hacked from someone else’s system, talk about who made the original system.

After yesterday’s #rpg vending experience, today should be a day of rest. Oh it *isn’t*, but it’s nice to want things.
