When you get home from a long walk and your anus and vagina hurt

Q: What's the large muscular organ in a woman's chest called? A: The heart? Q: I'm sorry, Bob. It's the SPLEEN. The spleen. freethoughtblogs.com/pharyngula/2...

Oh yeah, remember when a Superman movie came out last year and we had thousands of people on here tearfully remarking "this is the movie we need right now!" That shit was so embarrassing. Such naked consumerism as activism shit

Americans will say things like "We must starve Cuba to death with our embargo. Do not let China rescue them with food and energy" and still think people around the world hate them for their freedoms.

They disinvented the VCR. You might think that the reason we don't have VCRs anymore is because VCRs were supplanted by DVDs, PVRs and streaming, but that's not the case. They had it in for the VCR from the very start, and they never stopped trying to kill it. Eventually, they succeeded. 1/

Finished the book last night and while I'm surprised some of the comedic scenes in this were straight from the novel, I stand by what I said. Still humorous, but more organic, less "hey, a fun gag/line". Makes the stuff that isn't in the book stand out even more.

"Meanwhile if you want to ditch Chromium browsers entirely then Firefox is an excellent alternative as MV3 and MV2 are both supported." ๐Ÿ‘€

Google Chrome is looking to finish off the various bypasses that help uBlock Origin and other such MV2 extensions to keep functioning. Edge and Opera could soon follow too. #Google #Chrome #AdBlocker

I will even go to bat for his (Director's Cut of) King Arthur (I said what I said!). I think the only film of his I outright disliked was Olympus Has Fallen, but even that one has impeccably shot action sequences.

Fuqua is his generation's Tony Scott - overwhelmingly rejected by critics, but a body of films which includes numerous now and future classics. All three Equalizers RIP. Magnificent Seven is incredible. A lot of otherwise good to really good films sprinkled in there. And he got screwed on MICHAEL.

Even if his latest movie is that bad (and potentially worse had he been able to release the film as he intended), there's no way you could seriously call him a shitty filmmaker.

BTW, I haven't seen the movie, but based on Ragnarok, I don't find what Taika did with Thor very interesting, hence why I lament Jane Foster's Thor having to appear in one of his movies. But still, this theme is fantastic.

I think I'll never get over the fact Thor: Love & Thunder gave Jane Foster such a great musical theme. Or that the movie she had to make her debut was Love & Thunder. youtu.be/rptxtJFi83g?...

The new Spider-Man movie looked... pretty awesome? As someone who is lukewarm with 2 1/2 of the previous trilogy, this looks like a nice change of pace. Also, quite a bit of an upgrade in the visuals.

I know it has a bit of a bad rap, but man, I love Ridley Scott's Hannibal so much. While "Lambs" is pretty much straight-faced horror, Scott's movie feels almost like a beautifully shot, perverse horror-romantic-comedy with an underrated score by Hans Zimmer.

Didn't expect having to sit down and digest Predator Badlands. Can't make up my mind on it yet. Few things I have clear: 1. Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi (and the VFX guys who worked on the Predator's face) did an amazing job getting the character's emotions across and getting you to care for him.

@vivaldi.com Hey, guys. Love the browser but coming from Firefox, there's a (small) big thing that I wish you had: being able to open multiple Picture in Picture instances... niche thing, I know, but very useful at times.

Can someone explain to me how it's even debatable that Batman shot (even if he didn't kill) a goon in TDKR comic? Like, there's an actual splatter behind them!

Ok, that Return of the King-type ending hit harder than I expected. Whatever faults the rest of the season might have had, it never lost sight on the character work and why we loved them and, if nothing else, the finale nailed that part. Well done, Duffer Brothers and co. #StrangerThings

Still 30 minutes to go for me, but just in case I forget, #HappyNewYear everyone! Here's hoping next year is the year the AI bubble bursts and takes the Nadellas, Ellisons, Altmans and Musks of the world with it, that the world grows a pair and stops enabling Israel's genocide and for good measure-

Petty Christmas Eve thought: on Ep 2 of Stranger Things 5 and can't wrap my head around people who complain about the "second screen viewing" dialog* but said nothing about it in Superman.
