It still blows my mind that after 9 years of Switch & Switch 2, there's been no official release of Chrono Trigger. I mean, it was on Nintendo DS and even Wii U. Still seems absurd we can play Chrono Cross on Switch but not Chrono Trigger.

Square Enix updated Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles over nine months after its release. Nine months. The fact that there is a team working in this engine still NINE MONTHS AFTER LAUNCH is so encouraging. I hope this also means there are more TRPGs coming from Square Enix soon.

Confession: I will often write a pedantic reply to an incorrect post, smile and nod... and then erase it without hitting publish. Also funny: I stopped writing publish with 'pub' thinking it would autofill in the rest, but instead it gave me three wrong options. One of those options was "puberty."

Honestly thrilled for Kairosoft on this one. They made an excellent simulation game and have just been steadily improving the formula and nudging the engine forward for years. Getting this kind of major payoff is amazing. I'm hoping this is just the beginning of their collab games.

Finding it really hard to be excited by games right now. *sigh*
