i have a very gay novelette out in @thefuturefire.bsky.social 🌧️ a goatherd travels to the edge of the world as she knows it, searching for missing rain, but what she comes upon instead is a lonesome woman in a lighthouse. i hope you enjoy “A Word, and Its Keeping”: futurefire.net/2026.77/fict...

there's clearly no point in scolding most people for their indifference to anti-trans bigotry. the refusal to leave Harry Potter behind, the hemming and hawing about the NYT's puzzles. people won't even put down their toys for us. I cannot express the white-hot frustration boiling in my stomach.

Our Kickstarter is live! Help support another year of speculative fiction by immigrant & diaspora writers over at @Kickstarter. 🧡 With your help, we can keep funding our work, expand to regular author interviews, raise our artist pay, & more! Support us at: www.kickstarter.com/projects/kho...

One day I'll collect my thoughts about how despite how much gore and blood American horror movies can have, they're still too pussy shit to add cum or bile or anything that acknowledges the human body's functions beyond being meat

A new evil dead, and I am again disappointed on the lack of green blood. I knew there wouldn't be. But I'm a single issue voter, 0/10

Anyway, here's my favorite moment from the Heisei films.

STOKERCON 2026 Audio Diary featuring: @caitlinstarling.com @patricktumblety.bsky.social @lamaupin.bsky.social @leonp.bsky.social @sonorataylor.bsky.social -Chiwan Choi @olivasthewriter.bsky.social -15,000 Bees -Joe Historybot -a ghost …and the city of Pittsburgh for StokerCon 2026!

I am still reeling from this incredible gift. Professional model maker Dennis Chan (and husband of the talented @alawinans.bsky.social!) made this INCREDIBLE figurine of my grandparents. I can't stop turning it over in my hands. What a wild thing to see @yasimamura.bsky.social's work in 3D.

Had the best time at the Locus Awards chatting with authors @olivasthewriter.bsky.social, @sumikoska.bsky.social, and @audthentic.bsky.social, and getting inspired by the guests of honor @tananarivedue.bsky.social, @stephengrahamjones.com, and @nnedi.bsky.social. @locusmag.bsky.social #BookSky

The sheer craven indignity of the We're All Looking for the Guy Who Did This hot dog costume man trying to sound somber as he reads a young trans woman's eulogy is going to give me a rage stroke.
