Just a reminder for anyone watching Clayface (2026) that all the exterior shots were filmed in Liverpool (England) because it was cheaper than filming in Gotham. Going to the cinema this evening to watch it. Kinda curious to see how it looks.

Apparently when I was at the wrap party the other night I ordered a precision detailing polisher. Good job me.

My buddy @joehallenbeck.bsky.social will be excited to learn that there's a lot of Volvo action in this film, including a 740 [I think] that drives on after receiving three direct hits by a grenade launcher. They don't make five door estates that like that anymore! #ACarYouCanBelieveIn

Watched WAR DOG (1987). This action flick was made in Sweden but is pretending to be American, with sometimes amusing results. We're definitely in 'so bad it's good' territory here. But the OTT blood squibs and explosions are as good as anything from this era.

I loved The Dukes of Hazzard when I was a kid. All I ever wanted was a ‘69 Charger 440. I achieved my childhood dream and spent 6 years restoring one. I’m glad I did it but I matured & realised I wanted a different driving experience. Now I’d say my realistic dream car is a Volvo 850R estate.

New front slotted & drilled brake discs plus pads for the 850. This car suffers from warping front discs like no other I’ve had. And hoping a new battery and fitting this new alternator I’ve had for ages in the 940 will solve some electrical gremlins. All to be done when I wrap next week.

Home after three weeks away. Back early enough to watch a movie. The movie in question is Joshua Tree (aka Army of One) (1993) Starring my man Dolph and directed by legendary stunt man and 2nd Unit director Vic Armstrong. This poster reflects my current mind set.

Ok. Let me break down my joke. I have a colleague (Alfie) who bakes stuff for us occasionally. Alfie always wears a hat. Today we had a rat lose in the studio on the only day Alfie has brought in brownies he didn’t make AND he was hatless. The implication being he has a Ratatouille rat. 🐀 👨🏼‍🍳

04:00 is a dumb time to get back to digs. Claw backs start tomorrow. Maybe if we stick to our schedule (ha!) we will be wrapped by midnight on Saturday. So much time to do absolutely nothing. There is only work & sleep. Can’t wait to be back to something resembling “normal” hours.

About to go into a week of brutal night shoots in an awful location filled with coal dust that should’ve been a studio set build. (In my opinion) 16:00-04:00 today and for the next three days. It has been six day weeks for a while now too. It’s gonna suck. The invoice however, won’t.

I regret to inform everyone at this location that for the next four days I now have a rental pick-up truck. I am an unstoppable force of nature. In my defence they gave me the keys. On purpose.

I watched Hope (2026) last night at the cinema. Holy cow. Big swings. I absolutely loved it. I thought it was bonkers from start to finish. Maybe a bit long at 2.5 hours but it looked amazing. Some insane choices made but I dig it. The third act is like a fever dream. Huge fun. Will rewatch.

Saw the new Resident Evil movie last night and it was fun. A tight 90 min bit of business with some excellent automotive street furniture including a Volvo 480 at one point. Raccoon City had a nice mix of US and Euro cars apparently. If you liked Barbarian and Weapons you’ll like this too.

Hope everyone has a glorious day at #Rustival I am heartbroken to miss one for the first time ever.

Coyote vs Acme was great fun. I enjoyed it a lot. Super little matinee movie that made me laugh and tickled the nostalgia gland also.

Just booked 6 more weeks work. Maybe I’ll treat myself to some performance car parts to celebrate… I am going to miss #Rustival however which will be my first time not in attendance. 😢 I did buy tickets though so still supporting the cause.
