From the everything site, transit-related upzoning in the sunbelt results in the same level of affordability as LIHTC housing. x.com/aarmlovi/sta... Need this progressive council of ours to pursue upzoning like this around Nashville's CHYM all-access corridors sooner than later.

A new survey of 1,000 American adults found that the strongest supporters of transgender sports bans are not the people who admire women most: they are the people who hold the most hostile views about women. www.helenwebberley.com/news/transge...

Nashville SC are officially the 2026 Supporters' Shield champions. 70 points through 31 matches, five points away from setting the single-season points record. They tie the MLS record for fewest games needed to clinch the Shield. Incredible season from the 'Yotes!

Of all the days to get yelled at by a truck driver it was an employee of Sprocket Rocket pedal taverns who decided that blocking both the sidewalk and bike lane was appropriate.

The democratic consultant class is a joke and they should feel bad about what they do

We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.

Are you a “bike people”? Has a lobbyist watched you strut into a room glistening with sweat and shook their head at you? Do you enjoy sitting in public places and not blowing up publicly owned garages? Do you have a strong opinion on thumbs up or giving the bird? Apply below!

This is me watching Andre Drummond tonight in his Knicks debut @rodger.bsky.social

Trump: "I'm studying his body. I've never studied the body of a man before. It's not my thing. Nothing wrong with it, of course. But it's never been my thing. But I looked at his ass. I said, 'His ass, shit, it's like a pile of muscle.' Then I looked at his legs and I said, 'Man, his feet are big.'"

New Yorkers have waited their entire lives for tonight: when the Knicks championship banner will be raised into the rafters of Madison Square Garden. What a testament to the incredible 2025-26 Knicks and the city that stood alongside them every step of the way. LGK.

I cannot believe that this has slipped past me but my very own councilmember is trying to do a rezoning that removes the requirement to maintain a historic building (strip club) at the base of a residential tower. It was THE funniest redevelopment of our now former retired cm’s career imo.

I dont understand why in the year of our lord 2026, metro government still remains so allergic to an easy to use tracker for things like this. How many miles of the priority sidewalk network are complete? What % is that? A true mystery that a competent org could answer INSTANTLY.

Haters will say that nashville does not have a transit system. They will claim that trash panda is an inappropriate nickname for our state animal. Both of these are incorrect statements.

Calling all bus boys: Nashville is now on Racoon Transit. May your work days be less productive, @jspencersharpe.bsky.social, @themanaen.bsky.social, @petebuttigieg.bsky.social, @neilkornutick.bsky.social, @ezrahowru.bsky.social & co.

Many people have already been saying this. It remains interesting how they focus so much on Aftyn without recognizing that if you start on the far left of metro council, you have the most solid block of supporting building more housing

Housing isn’t moving at the scale and speed that we all want because of the normie lib/center locally. The left has tried to move the ball forward and instead of getting broad support from the people who are supposed to be reasonable and data driven, it gets pushback.

Getting someone like Rep Behn to push a zoning preemption bill doesn’t sound like the path to success for it. Making something nashville thing, with this state makeup is the exact thing we’ve been warned against doing. It’s exactly why having someone in the middle to bridge the gap is so important

“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.
