She is gilded to within an inch of her life, the black wool highlighting the surfeit of gold dripping from Schiaparelli’s late #1930s evening jacket. Part couched goldwork, part rhinestone studs, all the sparkles @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

I picked up Big Mac today--Didn't really think about the fact that a 48" loom is actually like 60" wide (it makes 48" cloth) and holy moly that's a big boy. Very disassembled here so we could actually lift it into the van then down into the basement

I bought a bag of 2.5" pink/red strips (plus like 3 badly pieced log cabin blocks) and I couldn't decide what block I wanted to make with them so I just started making random ones. I'm keeping them small, largest here is 4"

Finished off my thrum warp! I got about 3 yards off of it, and tried out houndstooth, stripes and a gradient. Love the way it looks and want to push the gradient idea further next time. I think most of this will go into making some totes/little zip bags.

Known as Yokohama robes after the port from which they were shipped, this Japanese quilted and embroidered dressing gowns became popular in the second half of the c19th. This one dates to c1875. I would very much like to curl up into one today please and thank you @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

Having long been aware of those tech bros who read my work as utopian porn, where they’ve taken that doesn’t exactly surprise me.

It's been an absolutely awful year dealing with mysterious chronic illness, financial strain, a horrible breakup, job stress and pet sickness and death but I think I finally feel a little bit more like a person again so. That's something.
