Al’s Bar was a legendary club in a “dangerous” part of downtown LA. It was hard to find in the days before phone maps, just drive around in the general area until you’d see the little door. Amazing graffiti and post apocalyptic vibes, saw lots of great shows there! Photo courtesy of Reset in Japan

I saw Drive-By Truckers this weekend, and they ended their set with a song from their trilogy about the Lynyrd Skynyrd plane crash, called Angels and Fuselage (scared shitless) and it just seems like a fitting song for these times. This is an older version: #musicsky

My go-to salad these days is ridiculously simple, easy and tastes amazing! Cucumbers, chili crisp, cashews, maybe with a little rice vinegar and olive oil if you feel like it. 5 mins! This is a riff on the marinated cucumbers at the Copper Room near Joshua Tree, one of my favorite haunts #foodsky
