This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern.

More accurate, fewer words; "There are plenty of contractors going under". A friend furloughed 75% of staff (furlough w/paying for health insurance for three months), 50% exec pay cut, 25% rest of staff to keep as many people w/salary. PS: Wasn't 18F a government office, not a contractor.

Officials at the FAA have directed staff to identify tens of millions of dollars to fund a Starlink deal for upgrading air traffic control communications. Staff has been instructed to find the funds while minimizing documentation and avoiding a paper trail.

This is the disgusting person Trump wanted released to the United States despite his heinous human trafficking charges. Listen to him describe how he’d grab women by the neck. MAGA can officially shut the fuck up about the Epstein files.

Musk alleges the government is rife with incompetence but his DOGE team appears most incompetent of all. They *created a website that was easily hacked *fired, then attempted to rehire hundreds of employees at least 3 times. *posted claims of $16B in savings, but were off by a factor of 1400

Understand this: by trying to gut Medicaid, the House GOP is targeting seniors in nursing homes, kids with disabilities, and low-income workers who can’t get health coverage from their jobs. All so the GOP can slash taxes for millionaires, billionaires, and billionaire corporations.

You wouldn't dismantle the agency that protects consumers for corporate abuse and scams unless you wanted your rich buddies to be able to abuse and scam consumers.

Listen, they can keep lying about USAID, but gutting the program is hurting the American Ag sector. That is the point though. Destroy American Ag to make way for other authoritarian countries to take over the market.

Americans pay almost 4x as much for medicine as citizens of other developed countries Hospitals and doctors charge more in the US Most developed countries control healthcare costs through government intervention, which eliminates the high administrative costs that drive up pricing in the US

I’m so tired of them. I’m tired of their lies. I’m tired of their disgusting amorality. I’m tired of their faces, their voices, their smirks. I’m tired of their inability to say — let alone do — even one thing remotely kind or humble or appropriate, ever. So tired.

Jasmine Crockett: "The problem is that Americans thought it was okay to take a full fledged criminal and make him the President of the US and then they want to act aghast when he does criminal things. Let me tell you, we have a thug in charge of the US and if we don't wake up we may not have a US"

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

The people of Missouri voted to end gerrymandering, we did not get it, the people of Missouri voted to expand Medicaid, it didn't happen, we voted to allow abortion, it is not going to happen, Republicans DO NOT SERVE the people.

Do one thing every day. Avoid exhaustion by being intentional. My State Senator, Rusty Black, sent out his newsletter saying he is working to overturn the will of voters on the abortion amendment. I responded to him. It took about two minutes. Work intentionally. Don’t get worn down.

The thing to understand about Trump is like in his first term, he doesn’t want to govern. He doesn’t want to learn. He wants to campaign and look good. Republicans know this. So there are battles going on right now to take control of the actual process of governing.

HUNT: Should the Trump administration separate families to execute its mass deportation plan? REP. ZINKE: The families are part of the problem. I surmise that in Montana, what's gonna happen is we're gonna empower the sheriffs... the sheriffs are gonna round up. They know who's naughty & who's nice
