If Trump is a cancer on American democracy, the Dems are the doctor that refuses to prescribe treatment because "laughter is the best medicine" and I'm just so fucking tired.
Be careful this Halloween!
Already I was given candy that had poison, the poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's poison.
Fare well Mr. Koenig. I hope you enjoy exploring the true final frontier and/or undiscovered country. I can't imagine Star Trek or Babylon 5 without you, and thank you for engaging with fans to the very end.

If there's one thing you can always count on in politics, it's that a neoliberal will go fascist the instant their charm stops distracting people from their policies. France is currently a prime example.
Why is every media outlet always like "Look at all these symptoms! They're terrible! But we like the cause so here's an article blaming something that is -also- a symptom of the problem we like without ever mentioning the actual problem."
I wonder if its because we need some sort of safe outlet to feel all the terrible, life threatening daily terrors we are forced to live with? Maybe feel some kind if catharsis when the untenable evils and billionares are defeated or recieve any kind of comeuppance? Nah thats dumb its obviously satan
Love it when I order something from Amazon for a party on Friday to be delivered on Thursday and an hour before the party it still hasn't shown up. Love that for me.
Finally getting contacts again for the first time in a decade and holy shit are they different than I remembered. Forgot how awful torodials are for the first 15 minutes or so before they settle. And having to retrain your eyes to focus in contacts vs glasses is no joke.
like of course the electeds are still corrupt and getting money unethically. that's what the insider trading and speaking circuit (underrated angle here) and donor kickbacks are for.
the *fundraising*, though? so much of that is just keeping the makework job factory for loser friends alive.
yet again, corruption in the dems via fundraising shouldn't be seen mostly as "personally fattening individual already wealthy electeds wallets" and more as "making sure everybody's loser nephew or cousin has a cushy six figure job with benefits"
We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.
They won't. That was never the plan. You don't buy a company and saddle it with its own obscene debt because you want that company to succeed. You do that because you want to strip it for parts and then sell off whatever is left after it goes bankrupt.
Finally sat down and watched this year's GBBS Bread Week and holy shit that Technical was a goddamn disaster and it was 100% the production team's fault. Let's pick something nobody in the tent has ever baked, has probably never eaten, and then not even hint at what they're supposed to look like.
If not even a single contestant in the tent produces anything even vaguely resembling what you asked for, it's because your instructions were shit. Even if you gave them a perfect recipe and instructions, giving them a single hour was already enough of a challenge to make it dicey.
MTG hates Trump. That means she opposes things he supports. The concept of opposing things your proclaimed opponent supports (especially blatantly obviously corrupt things) seems to be far beyond the comprehension of Dems in Congress.
I feel like if you've organically found yourself in a situation like that removing you from the gene pool would probably be a kindness to society at large.
Me: "Sorry, sir, we can't take debit cards. The machine will auto-reject them"
Him: "Are you sure? Could you just try it anyway?"
Me: "You know what? Sure! Let's try it! They're programmed explicitly not to accept debit cards but I'm sure it will ignore 20 years of programming because you're here!"
I don't understand customers who think that either an employee is lying to them (why? For what?) or they deeply believe that the universe will magically alter reality specifically to accommodate them and get mad when you won't accept their belief.
The "controversial" comic with over 43 false reports to silence the creator and the real feel of the people.

I'm excited that prop 40 will likely pass here in Cali, but pissed knowing that prop 41 and 42 will also likely pass due to a combination of misleading wording and outright propaganda and entirely invalidate prop 40.
