The exact electronic nature of a microphone's transducer (moving coil, ribbon, condenser, etc.) has 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 to do with the amount of ambient information / room reflections it 'hears'. Using a dynamic mic' because you're in an acoustically untreated room is silly and wrong.

just had a guided meditation (voiced by a Southie who sounds wicked smaht) interrupted by my dog who barked to get my attention, then scooted his butt across the rug and then smelled the rug. namaste, kid

since McCartney's vegetable chomping contributions didn't make it to Smiley Smile, it would have been nice if Wilson had brought him back in in 2004 for Smile 🥦🥒🥕

the reason you never see the singular version of the word 'biscotti' is that it's impossible to eat just one. #biscotto

The main thing to keep in mind about Kelly Clarkson beefing with an indie store in Brooklyn over an animatronic bird is that Kelly Clarkson ripped off Spoon for "All I Ever Wanted", stolen shamelessly from Spoon's excellent "I Turn My Camera On". 🥄📸

I picked up a Milt Jackson LP last week from the discount bin. 1) the front cover really buried the lede, as the back cover reveals he is accompanied by Oscar Fucking Peterson. 2) At the risk of being a doomer, no one will ever come even close to Oscar, the greatest pianist to ever live.

Like, the good news is you can just relax and be as good a pianist as you care to be, and even if you practiced for the rest of your waking life, wouldn't begin to touch Oscar. It's kind of freeing.
