My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

When doing a tiny bit of research, I noticed on the Japanese Wikipedia page for GodMars that they split the series into three story arcs. Not that I'm watching the series every day, but these could be handy stops for breaks.

I remember the second arc with the space pirates being a bit of a slog to get through. It is kind of notable for featuring a more significant early role for Yoshiko Sakakibara, at least.

I think GodMars got a bit of an extension due to how popular it was. I do wonder what the original series trajectory was, whether it was dramatically different, or basically the same.

sometimes, they use this close up shot of Sphinx's face, and whoever was drawing at the time accidentally gave it a mouth like the other God robots. it just looks so weird every time they show it

speaking of close ups, this one of Gaia gets used quite a bit but to me it's more awkwardly amusing, like I kind of look forward to it getting used
