THEY ARE NOT POWERLESS TO STOP HIM! Go back to Washington, stand on the steps of the Capitol and demand Johnson and Thune recall the House and Senate, and impeach him. THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK! THERE IS LITERALLY AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL! (It's called the Constitution.)

Republican lawmakers are incensed about Trump's dismissal of Ukraine — and powerless to stop him. That frustration hit a new peak on Monday as they sought to address Trump’s decision to purchase Russian diesel, waive sanctions on Moscow, and potentially stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine.

Immigration courts are an understaffed joke with exorbitant case quotas …. At this point a surge of willing( and competent) legal advocates, judges, and venues is required … the number of cases I’ve heard with an unaccompanied minor without a lawyer and an15 minute hearing is far to high

I am wondering where I can fact check the statement "Every tax break for a data center is a funding cut for local schools" logically it checks out, but the internet would love to say its not 100% equal

Let this be a reminder that tariffs “bring manufacturing back” by raising the costs of products to the point domestic manufacturers can run a profit making them here … the consumer still pays the higher costs tho

Just a reminder, if you get a response to “Hey, Siri” or “Alexa” or even “Hello Google”, your technology is actively listening to you. Normally I don’t care, I’m not that interesting, it’s just messed up that these same companies make so much by selling the same data we feed it constantly for free

Just a thought bubble, but what if instead of income tax, we had labor tax. Where the company commissioning the labor pays the tax, not the one doing the labor/job … it would simplify accounting immensely for citizens.

You know how we have all those stories about AI blackmailing and hacking? Is anyone else wondering how secure all those AI stock trading bots are? Market manipulation seems like it could be a feature as opposed to a bug there

BonesSpurs McDraftDodger had the unmitigated gall to post this image & I just threw up in my mouth a little. At long last, sir, have you no sense of decency? #StolenValor

In the 1950s this was the size of a 5mb hard drive, and it weighed over a ton. The reason I bring this up is twofold 1) it’s an objectively cool fun fact 2) can you imagine what a few years of efficiency and design improvements will make? What would be the power needs, sound and waste output?

Everyone seems to have a problem with the political approach of giving a 100dB response on a 1dB problem, and a 1dB response on a 100dB problem. Personally I’ve just comedown on “which one makes my neighbor more free, and which one cares for people over profits”. I’m comfortable with that logic.

Trump must really be scraping the bottom of the barrel of "Quick give me something dumb to say, I need a distraction" The entire rational world knows you are impotent in this matter ... this isn't even a sad joke ... its just sad

Once this "renaming" shit is fixed, what are the odds we can keep it going and switch over to metric? I am joking but there WILL come a time .. it just makes a lot more sense to have a global standard.

Ron kinda nailed it here

I’m not sure how to convey this succinctly to legacy media who continues to go to Manchin for his opinion. But let me try: No one, and I mean no one, gives a fuck what Joe Manchin thinks about anything.

I’m reasonably sure Trump is trying to be so unpopular the republicans lose the midterms, that way he can pretend “the mean democrats are forcing woke on the US” when all they are doing is their jobs

Corporate Taxes are how companies invest in communities, a healthy balance of taxation brings everyone up, schools, roads, and small businesses. Right now taxes get paid "somewhere else", unless we fix that we HAVE to tax locally, because they HAVENT BEEN INVESTING LOCALLY

You know what the Dem's should do? Pass a law that says "after leaving office, a politician shall have a 1 time tax based on growth of net-worth over the course of their service" A state-estate tax if you will.

Here is your reminder that the same people who say “The kids just need to work harder to afford nice things” are also the people who keep raising the prices of everything to what the “market will bear”

Democrats need to continue any sort of impeachment process even after Trump is out of office …. There is precedent, and the impeachment would also identify and investigate co-conspirators and other criminality … investigate the bastards

If technology, such as AI, relies on the morality of the user, the technology has no morality .... These things should be built keeping both extreems in mind, The best it can do, and the worst it will do ... Humanity spends a LOT more time dealing with the worst, and not quite getting the best.

Someone needs to start making cheap urinal cakes with pictures of the various trump administration officials .... that way I could buy them in bulk, and leave one in every bar, restaurant, store I visit. That way every man can take a piss on the bleepers heads

I am a centrist Dem ... I have learned, thanks to MAGA, I have to support candidates that push for a more progressive agenda, then when wins and losses are totaled, we end up with a more free, and more just, world.

With Platner and Swalwell it’s become increasingly obvious to me that Republicans know how to convince democrats to not support a candidate while Dems haven’t figured out how to still the ardor of the Republican masses

It really feels like Trumps favorite hobby is creating liabilities with no intention of paying to cover them. That way when the Dems are in office he can point and say “when I was there I got that and didn’t pay a thing”

When it comes to election standardization ... My proposal is simple ... in 10 years we move to Compulsory Voting in federal elections. That gives us 10 years to create a system, find all the "What about x" or "What if y" scenarios, and find a plan for them. We just need state buyin too and we win

When it comes to it the chaos Trump is sewing now , this is the design…. Not only is he pocketing billions, he is making sure the next administration has less goodwill, less political capitol, and more problems that need attention. The gleeful bigot is forking us over for the foreseeable future

For years the republicans have learned they don’t need to win democratic voters if they can just inspire apathy in the democratic voters so they make a “protest vote” they know won’t win, or worse just don’t vote at all. Each election is between candidate a or b … pick one you are aligned with

At this stage of presidential scandal ... I feel the Epstein Class deserves a historic memorial, so we can forever despise the abusers. I wonder if we could recarve a certain arch. By skipping over all the normal review, design, and appropriation processes there isn't any precedent to protect it.

I would like the DNC to create a "-2 Cleanup" initiative. Tasked with removing the stain of Trump from all monuments, public/political buildings, political organizations, and all associated images. the -2 is just because of his dumbass hat that says "45-47" that equals -2 to me.

Republicans only “hope” is that the Dems would eat our own young and abandon him … Dems need to stop doing the MAGA cults dirty work and let them work for it

Adam Kinzinger@adamkinzinger.substack.com

Dear Americans: GIven that now the “opp research” on Graham Platner includes what he talked about on deployment, you may want to dig deeper on how troops talk in war. Don’t. You’d never understand unless you served. And I would not want it to be ANY different.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump did some shit like stepping down before the next presidential election, all so he can claim that he didn’t have 2 terms and can run again …. Of course in this case Vance would Sheild Trump from the consequences of his corruption … I wouldn’t be surprised

I’d be perfectly happy if the democrats commit to using the budget to tear down the “ballroom”, go through the actual process of design review and bidding and sending a bill to the bloated bigot or to his organization…

The White House is now arguing Trump’s $400 million ballroom is also a hospital, a bunker, and a matter of national security. And no, it's not being paid for solely by private donors... 😏 🤷🏼‍♀️

Politicians should be able to trade stocks … but those trades would be taxed at 50% before deductions, and that 50% is earmarked to their state “opposition” party (counts as non taxable income) Sure they can make money to “take care of family” but they would actively enrich their opponent …

Capitalism relies on trading, labor or time for income, and in the case of employment it needs to be lopsided to be successful. The “successful” company gets a higher return than the wage they pay for the task, and thus shows profit. It compounds and accelerates over time, until we break the cycle

Republicans are busy telling you why it’s OK to hate, distrust & denigrate your neighbor Democrats are telling you why you should respect & support them When you vote, you pick which of the two options YOUR neighbors will use when viewing YOU It’s not difficult, just don’t be a Richard about it

Donald Trump is working way too hard to make sure the country is in the shitter after he is out of office Tax revenue- DOWN International Aid/goodwill - DOWN Green energy projects - Cancelled The shining city on the hill .. demolished for the sake of a guilted statue and a parking lot

I think we may be missing the obvious with Trump’s bruises …. How sure are we that it’s not part of his fetish … I mean he can afford to hire what ever dom he wants, maybe it’s just his kink

Give it the infowars treatment and take “ownership” of the Trump brand, use any future revenue to fund immigrant rights and general healthcare … and most important, name Obama the administer of the fund

Jon Cooper@joncooper-us.bsky.social

January 20, 2029: Democratic president inaugurated. January 21: Full Trumpectomy begins. Melt the golden statues. Rip his name off the Kennedy Center. Restore the Rose Garden and East Wing. Tear down the gilded ballroom. America finally touches grass again. 🌿🇺🇸

The folly of the right wing targeting governmental spending is that government spending on citizen support is actually pretty efficient compared to a private model. What fraud there is in the system isn’t done by the person getting the support, it’s in the corrupt companies defrauding them
