Realistically my hatred for AI was predestined from the moment I learned of the existence of rice cookers and was shocked and appalled by the notion that someone would need to automate such a dumbshit task, and not just that but seemingly every first world person I talk to on the subject

is incapable of cooking rice without overcooking it, foaming it tfu, and setting their house on fire. It's just crazy shit to me. Bizarro world bullshit. It took over a decade after that for the rest of society to catch up and create a term for it. Rice slop.
