Let me save you the trouble of waiting for GTA embargo to be up: This is a ten out of ten. This is a masterpiece. This is the greatest game in the history of the world. You have no choice but to Buy It. Like what ya see? because there’s plenty more where that came from.

Let me tell you I got so hooked on this game I devoured all the content in the initial EA build and now I am afraid to go back until the 1.0 release. It's so good.

Moves of the Diamond Hand, Chapter 3, is out now. Welcome to Building 18. store.steampowered.com/app/2778210/... #indiegame #RPG #gamedev

Was watching an old avgn video where he mentions tank controls being ASS and ink ribbons SUCKING SHIT. No shade to the Nerd but you could see the boring overstated consensus position crystalizing in the real time if you go back and watch popular YouTubers, it’s so fascinating

Utmost respect to Gerstmann in his retro ranking pursuits because one of his stated goals was always to re-evaluate and maybe break the internet consensus on old games. He recognizes most people just accept and the majority opinion as gospel and it dilutes the conversation in this space

Feeling largely positive on Silver Pines but it’s nothing if not derivative. You can’t talk about it without saying Oh it’s Like twin peaks and metroid and silent hill and prince of persia and the portraits look like disco elysium. Well I’ve played all those - what else ya got?

Continuing to play over the hill as an idle game. Day/Night cycle is long so I can hit the trails before settling in for the night with a second-screen game, in this case re1. Just turn off the engine and take in nature sounds as time passes and weather changes. Quite a rare experience

Good piece on Digger. I’m much more lenient on the frame narrative because I do genuinely find it cathartic and amusing to watch right up until the oil rig, at which point I am already levitating out of my seat.

Parliament scene is absolutely the centerpiece and it’s spectacular, a multilayered indictment of our shared complicity up to & including the ruling class’ unforgivable shirking of all social responsibility. Logic of capitalism to privatize all the gains while socializing the costs

Obsession and Backrooms were really nothing special at all huh. GenZ will recoil in terror at the simple prospect of dating or perhaps going to the damn store

Me deciding to never buy anything on PSN ever again, modding a PS2 and getting into MiSTer is also metaphor for owning games.

PlayStation founder Ken Kutaragi says discs became "metaphor for 'owning' games", and that upset at their discontinuation is a "mentality issue" www.eurogamer.net/ken-kutaragi...

Just don’t have the energy to sort through Next Fest AI slop in search of gems this time around. Too busy playing re1 for the 50th time while my backlog stares at me with concern for my wellbeing

I played Penguin Colony over the weekend, and I really admired the way it echoes Lovecraft's trick of slowly-dawning horrors to express its themes, and how powerfully it takes a stance

In Penguin Colony, Lovecraft's imaginary horrors are very real aftermath.site/penguin-colony...

People need to chill with the scolding of movie theater audiences for laughing during the movie…especially a NATHAN FIELDER movie, my god.

Look, instead of posting about how everyone in the theater sucked but you, why don’t you handle it the old fashioned way and tell them to shut up? Since you’re SO in the right, nothing could possibly go wrong!

A gripping new documentary asks troubling questions about truth, identity, and the complex ways that media images mediate our understanding of public figures. I refer of course to Norm: The Tale of Norm Macdonald.

New Fielder movie was like a boss fight for the man who weaves complex tapestries of reality and artifice: how to manipulate that which has no soul? It results in something of a poetic defeat for Nathan as he’s up against forces that exceed his - and society’s - grasp.

YOU CAN’T SEE ANYTHING - only two of seven theaters in Louisville area screening this. Dude - 3 hour doc - prime showtimes sold out - sea of heads - three of us looking to watch tonight - couldn’t get the deal

Enjoying 'over the hill' - cozy strandlike driving/chillout sim with lots of cool terrain to barrel over. This must be what Snowrunner is like, only more approachable (less simlike). Look out for this one when it hits consoles.

GOAT weighed in. Yeah, movie of the decade man. Last day to go see it near me and in most American cinemas, I’d wager. If you don’t, it’s not the end of the world. There will surely be revival screenings to come.

When Digger enters into his delusional mirage to hallucinate a heavenly stockpile of food left behind for all the poor souls to come after, the US flag is disappeared from the scene. In this ephemeral reality, the world’s pillaged bounty is returned.
