She's turned the Halloweans against us.
First one I remember was Jurassic Park. I was 6. It made me want to be a scientist, and abandoned my dream of being Michael Schumacher.
First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.

It is not. Four concussion checks, a dislocated shoulder, a twisted ankle, two diabetic kids with their pods malfunctioning. In 5 hours.
It'll be fine, I've had to take so many kids to hospital over the last decade that I recognise the paramedics these days. It's just going to be a day of teachers sending 16 year olds to me because they've got a cold. I can feel it in my bones.

recovering from this like "well i'm leaking goo from every square inch of my body's surface area and i itch so bad i wish i was dead and that's handy because i'm almost certainly going to get some kind of infection but at least my body looks like it's been dipped in cristiano ronaldo's imagination"
Obsessed with these videos of dipshits going to Bali to get the ugliest full-body tattoos while completely anesthetized
I swear down they think I'm a soft touch. Staff sending kids to drop off their trainers so they don't have to carry them all day. Staff sending kids for spare uniform that we have never had in this office.Staff sending kids to get that staff member a cup of water.
I am manning the first aid office today as emergency cover. I have been here 20 minutes. There have already been 4 kids sent to me for various injuries.

So, this went better than I expected. Closed book exam on what they've learnt, with a case study one (1) of 19 students had even heard of.
Basically I'm going to show them the Romanov family, tell their stories, and then bring in my big box of bones, and get them to match a skull to a member of the family, to show that Larissa Tudor can't be Tatiana Nikolaevna, as rumoured, because the entire family is accounted for.
@ewacat.bsky.social @brainmage.bsky.social if you know anyone etc etc...
More jobs. My other work is looking for an office admin person that can also be a receptionist. It's in Clapham, 29k a year, 11 weeks holiday. If you know anyone that might be interested, let me know
Not three hours after this, one of my students asked me if I was dating another member of staff. When I said no, it was an inappropriate question to ask, don't ask it again, they claimed I was deflecting, and they would ask her instead. Which they did. Maybe the should have fucking filters.
But other than that yeah. Kids have no filter, they'll just ask whatever pops into their heads.
Stumbled on the Neurosonics Audiom dical Labs short that the Foreign Beggars did with SK Shlomo and Dr Syntax earlier today for the first time in about 15 years. Still really cool: youtu.be/ukZCHX5ffEI
