Yesterday was reminiscent of the 1-0 loss to Stoke in our first season under Farke... which was 3 years ago to the day. We changed both wide players that night (Anthony/Gnonto for Summerville/James) and simply never got going, losing it to a late Struijk og. At least we avoided that outcome. #lufc

Another in the ever-growing “decent point but…” category. Stodgy first half, much better, more aggressive second but our lack of last-third quality prevented us getting more from it. We need Wilson to step up pronto. #lufc

Not quite finding the pockets of space behind their FBs, not quite finding the right pass in the final third, not quite forcing the errors in the press… and not quite the Man United we were hoping to see. Another level needed. #lufc

The fact that Israel requisitioned land, buildings and homes owned by Palestinians - whether in the territory that became Israel in 1948 or subsequently in the West Bank from 1967 - is absolutely "undeniable". To suggest otherwise is a historical absurdity.

Opinion: When Obama speaks, millions of people listen. If he truly believes that it is “undeniable” that Jews “took land off people," then he is an antisemitism superspreader. www.jpost.com/opinion/arti...

Still early days, of course, but what has Wilson offered so far? Neither on-the-ball composure nor off-the-ball pressing. Iinvisible again today. #lufc

Gutting. Really gutting. But, ultimately, Arsenal have the ability to change the game from the bench and we just don’t. Our first XI looks great but Wilson, Aaronson and Nmecha vs Guimares, Gyokeres, Timber…? Underlines where we still are. #lufc

Very, very tidy half… managed to get a toehold in the game on 20-odd minutes and have been the more threatening side ever since. Great shape at the back, good pressing up top and Stach putting in his best showing of the season. Tanaka on a tightrope now, though. #lufc

Hardly sticking my neck out by predicting a sobering afternoon ahead… just hope we can stay compact and competitive. As good as we’ve been in spells this season, there have also been a few red flags – Chelsea 2nd half, the Palace no-show. Sorting CM blend/Stach’s role feels key. #lufc

I got this for my 13th birthday. Think it was a fiver more than my dad was prepared to pay... but I somehow got my way. First album played on it? Sparkle in the Rain, I'm pretty sure...

WiFi went backwards. CD players skipped and iPods are tinny. I loved that Walkman.

Wakefield Trinity. Goodness me. Absolutely astonishing achievement. One of West Yorkshire’s greatest sporting successes, surely. My dad used to go to Belle Vue to watch the great team of the early 60s… not sure anyone in the town thought they’d climb back to the game’s summit. Wonderful.

What's the most recently released album to make it into your all-time top 20? Based on this month's activity, I reckon one or two these from the last decade (and a bit) might make the cut:

Happy 28th birthday to my favourite Leeds-related photo... capturing me (far right, chino-coloured trousers) and about 1,000 others celebrating our penalty win vs Maritimo in Madeira in 1998. #lufc

Really flat… and we’re incredibly lucky to emerge with anything. We were just never able to gain proper control of the game, and with Palace having the run of the midfield, we looked stretched at the back and disjointed going forward. The Premier League keeps throwing up problems to solve. #lufc

Pretty turgid stuff… not enough snap or fluency in our game at all so far. Palace are well organised and have looked menacing on the break, and other than the odd run from Okafor and Gabi, we’ve not threatened their back four consistently enough. Another gear needed. #lufc

Another documented atrocity that cuts through all the whining about "blood libels": the deliberate murder of a child. During a ceasefire.

We’re now 6 points better off from the corresponding fixtures last year… and when was the last time we were 3rd? Did we get there under Marsch briefly…? If not, it must be 24-25 years. #lufc

Impressive stuff. Physical and combative, with threats from everywhere, not least the wing backs. Did become a bit like Hudds in the 2023/24 season… went 4-0 up and lost a bit of intensity, which stuffed up the clean sheet, but that was domination for an hour. Could/should have been 6 or 7. #lufc

Given that to Bogle? Come the fuck on…. #lufc

Oooof…! Have some of that. Was a bit worried about that 5-10 minute spell when Newcastle we’re pressing high and releasing runners, but we wrested back control and never let go. Tanaka, Stach, Bogle and Okafor the architects but DCL brilliant up top. That header was pure brutalism. #lufc

This weekend’s results are showing that it’s going to be another dogfight to steer clear of relegation… talk of Europe is daft, imo. Our primary job is stay up and earn another summer of squad upgrades and get us to the West Stand rebuild. I don’t really care how we achieve it, either. #lufc
