Let me share some positive news for a change: Despite all the gloomy headlines today, my understanding is that there are multiple paths actively being explored that would save Arkane Lyon. Anything can happen during negotiations, but at this point I'd be surprised if the studio is shut down.

It sucks that BioWare is being shuttered but the bigger bummer for me is 50 more people losing their jobs, not a tarnished brand going away. That said, I understand how important those games are to some people and think it would RULE if BioWare became a wholly owned subsidiary of CANADA.

I really cannot understand Square Enix. They clearly love money and numbers but also appear to believe people are more than willing to buy updates of their titles. They would absolutely make profit by offering upgrade paths for a nominal fee.

Feeling nostalgic seeing all these OoT previews. Back in 1997, I played the first-ever playable demo of the N64 game at Spaceworld, then met Miyamoto-san for the first time the next day. Was also at the first press demo at NOA HQ a month or two before release. And of course reviewed for EGM.
