We didn't used to have to endure endless "discourse" around halftime superbowl shows, and now people find any and every reason, real or fake, to whine and be upset. Enuff.

Surprised but happy that "Camp Crystal Lake" did so well. I've only watched the first episode, but I'll eventually finish it. Maybe it can be as successful as "Bates Motel," a show I loved for a couple of seasons.

I need to look to see if Marvel is still using Songbird. When I was actively reading, she was at least present in T-bolts until around Dark Reign. She became less present after and Moon Stone was everywhere. I haven't seen either character much when I check in.

We're hitting a point on a global scale where we cannot trust any media sources. Everything is being wildly manipulated across the board.

CBS News is at a point of fabricating news and the only reason they "cleaned it up" and erased their previous misinformation is because they were called out publicly. That's British media levels of manipulation... Funny how many British editors are now involved in American media.

What's happening to Adam Brody is yet another example of why people should stop expecting celebs to speak out on divisive topics. His cast and crew are taking turns trashing him, and I can't imagine he will keep that job for much longer, given the growing tension.

I did not realize how prevalent the term "chat" was but I hate it. There're too many ways to livestream now and too many people refer to every and anything as "chat."

"7th Heaven" getting a reboot, especially during this time, seems... interesting. There's talk of "modernizing" it, but... ahunno if that's a good thing.

Congrats to Lula on overcoming Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump to defeat Hospital Pervert Jr., even as his opposition literally blocked off roads and turned off bus service during election day. Fascists are scary but they are always, 100% of the time, ultimately gigantic fucking losers.

Happy 53rd birthday to the talented creator and voice actor Seth MacFarlane. The creator of The Cleveland Show, Ted, American Dad and Family Guy.

Trump always has these random people at his rallies who cannot vote. Before it was Nigel Farage and the far right of British politics representing him, and now, it's Nicki Minaj.

It's... interesting seeing more people finally recognize that JDF really was very self centered and often screwed over some of his coworkers. It doesn't matter now, but people are gaining a more realistic view of him rather than idolizing him for a character he played 30 years ago.

One day, I'll be able to finally write about how difficult the end of last year was for me and describe the deep depression I went into while still having to... function and be present. I don't think I had ever been that sad before.

I don't like the term "vibe coded" because you cannot expect someone to know what that means. I wish people would just say directly what it is... "coded by AI." The need to give everything a cute, little name does more harm than good.

There are AI generated audio books? That's gross. That's directly taking a job and yet another harmful thing to the Creative community. For some, that's the only way to gain experience in the voice acting field.

It seems like every other month, there's an incidence that highlights how incompetent the MET police force is and that's wild.

The internet is claiming Ethan's wife flew to Israel and they're making it a big deal. She's literally from there... her literal family lives there. Tying it to anything else is weird.

Did the Chucky/Child's Play franchise enter into licensing hell? Suddenly pulling him from games and streaming services seems weird.

The "Glee Revival" is going to remind people how bad the Glee fandom used to be and that they were an early sign of how bad stan and fan culture could get. They were notorious for harassing cast/crew, trying to alter storylines, fighting with showrunners, etc.

"she said some edgy stuff at 15!" the edgy stuff in question is just racism and harassment, btw. The fact that stuff like that is always coded under "edgy" and people with a certain background get to use that they "grew out of it" as a shield is so... anyway.

Wild to read news that Ethan (H3H3) was cheating on his wife, especially after his years of moral grandstanding and shaming others as content.

Don't risk links at this time, obvi, but The Telegraph reporting this is interesting. This paper along with countless British papers & Murdoch papers such as the NYPost spent YEARS protecting this man and using him as a weapon, shaming his daughter for not bringing her kids around him.

This also led to a bunch of mindless royalists making demands on his behalf and involving themselves in someone else's family business WHILE ALSO funding their lifestyle via gofundmes. Like... maybe Newspapers and youtubers pretending to be journalists shouldn't be doing that?

Recognizing once again that I am very far removed from Network television because what do you mean Jamie Lee Curtis is on a 90s style sitcom on NBC?

Christy Carlson Romano says... Stop saying things, girl. Quit talking about everyone around you, lol. People can't even appreciate the mundane/logical things you say because you went on a trash run and kept tearing people down.

Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband. Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.

Lindsay Graham's sexuality was basically an open secret. The details and accusations coming out now are... interesting, to say the least. I do have to ask why several prominent politicians seem to be caught up in accusations involving minors.
