Making prints for the annual Christmas #LiverpoolCollection exhibition at dot-art gallery, which opens on December 11th. The Atholl Vaults was demolished in 2019 after it began to collapse into the street. #photography #cyanotype

Morning all. Paying too much for your gas, electricity, food and water bills? I consolidated all mine into one Southern Yellow-Billed Hornbill. What fun. Have a lovely day. xx 🪶 #BeakyBirds

The main purpose of AI is to steal earnings from working people, along with the associated taxes, and hand the money to unaccountable billionaires and corporations. Any society which relies on philanthropy has failed.

AFP News Agency@en.afp.com

From Carnegie to Claude: AI wealth could reshape philanthropy. Anthropic says it will commit 5% of its shares to a new Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a stake that could be worth around $100 billion if the company reaches the $2 trillion valuation expected at its stock market debut u.afp.com/SyJB

Half Man Half Biscuit at the Oxford O2 Academy. As always, a ridiculously thrilling show and one that again confirmed that the two hours I spend at a HMHB gig are undoubtedly the two hours where I feel the most ALIVE.

Britons should use money we haven't got to buy food the country doesn't grow, store it in homes that don't exist, in spare rooms that got taxed away, so we can survive when reservoirs nobody built run dry because of a climate the govt won't protect. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Do I know any art historians specializing in 19th C. European art to help me out on a blu ray featurette? Or if you know one, want to forward this to them?

I can wholeheartedly recommend this. Marc is a great photographer and has created an important, thought-provoking document. Looking through this I am reminded of Yeats’ phrase, ‘a terrible beauty is born’. xx

It’s come to something when a photographer has to get legal advice, before displaying this photo in an exhibition, due to the risk of being prosecuted as a terrorist, but that’s exactly what I had to do yesterday. What a state this country is in.

A woman weeps over the genocide in Gaza as she waits to be arrested as a terrorist for holding up a piece of cardboard. Parliament Square today.

I see lots of Osman’s books in charity shops and, having a quick peek, I have never got beyond the first paragraph. His prose, unlike the tasty Swift, is inedible.

The world would be a much better place if Amazon was closed down, its warehouses bulldozed and Bezos and the Amazon board were sent to live on a desert island with no electricity, and only pickled onions for food, for the next century.

No matter where you shop, you're getting screwed by Amazon. Amazon has found a way to make everything you buy - at Target, at a mom-and-pop shop, even direct from the manufacturer - more expensive. And they're not the only one: Expedia's done the same thing, but for hotel rooms.

For #SuperSeabirdSunday here’s the old diving Gannet with a certain precious isle in the background. xx

Morning all. Here are some posters released into the wild. They are very well house-trained, though it's best to pen them in a frame, behind glass. It stops them wandering off or causing any mischief. Find lots of domesticated wall-art here: www.edwardphilips.co.uk Have a lovely weekend! xx

We originally planned to display this exhibition inside Parliament like we did with Outsiders and had a famous MP as sponsor. Soon became clear internal political forces meant he wouldn’t be able to get it through. We can’t find any MP willing to sponsor it who has the political clout to get it
