Season 4 of The Diplomat was more of the same fun but with new caveats. Despite the heaps of praise writer Cahn is getting, I thought the disappearance of two main characters was handled very poorly, like an unmotivated, last-minute panic decision. Did Gyasi and Kinnear have contract trouble??

Finally the Nacht van Woerden gets some well-deserved love, or curiosity interest at least. The Belgian equivalent is Niel where the Jaarmarkt is the same thing as the Koemarkt in Woerden. Local integration is great. There is also Diegem at night but its reason is: it's too ugly to see in daylight.

Especially Dennison (Gyasi) who was killed off-screen in ep 3 after not even having been in this season. What did he do, get cast as James Bond? And then Trowbridge (Kinnear) who suddenly has hallucinations? Because he is so deeply moved by Dennison's death?? At least that was a flamboyant farewell.

The end felt child-like "the goodies must win". Almost like everyone involved said: we must address Tr*mp and stand up to him. Admirable and it looked & felt good, but also cheap and unsophisticated like an outline draft. Maybe Cahn already knows there won't be a season 5 and this was wrapping up..?

Sporza still debating whether it was a false start, and whether it should have been stopped anyway. Newest insight is that the starter is free to give the green light anywhere between "30 sec to the start" and, well, 30 sec later. UCI commissaire apparently says it was just that: a quick start.

Obvious downsides of this, and any app: you can't zoom in by pinching, you can't copy/save anything you see like you can in a web browser, task switching via tabs is 1000% easier than whatever Apple has come up with this year. And in the future when they have ads: you can't as easily block those.

I totally understand when you have 300k+ followers you get buried in an avalanche of replies and other notifications every day, and you get curt with people. But as a recipient of that who had a valid point (as all reply guys think they have) that's no fun and why I stopped following those accounts.
