⏰The clock is ticking. @governorwalz.mn.gov: Fund the Blue Line Extension! We all need safe, efficient ways to get where we need to go. Southwest got the Green Line. Northside shouldn't get left behind.🚉

Agree, and it’s not just Citi Bike. Every other mode is already subsidized. Why are we making bikeshare the exception?

Congratulations @abdulelsayed.bsky.social! Outspent 11 to 1, Abdul proved that people-powered campaigns can still beat big money. Michiganders chose hope over fear, and a future rooted in dignity, justice, and opportunity.

The fire and smoke making it unsafe to be outside is "a direct product of the greenhouse gases humans keep emitting. In Minnesota, transportation is the single largest source of those emissions, and personal automobiles are the biggest slice." www.bikemn.org/moving-under...
@wedge.live What was the lowest water levels you did last year for a float trip? Sitting at 35.90cfs currently 😩

Commentary: Minnesota's paid leave program rolled out on schedule and $70M under budget. Failures in government are often put under the microscope, but it's just as worthwhile to examine what made this program's rollout successful. minnesotareformer.com/2026/07/15/m...

*Bunch Bike Review* Now that we've owned our @bunchbike.com e-cargo bike for some time, I wanted to write a threaded review of my thoughts and experience. This will no doubt leave out many details that others will wonder about, but I hope some of you will get useful information here. 1/

Only one front loader recommended?? Potentially controversial statement here but front loader (aka bakfiets) style cargo bikes are easily the best way to carry people and/or stuff; better hauling capacity, more stable, more utilitarian…this is a very limited cargo bike review IMHO.
An electric cargo bike can get you, your kids, and your stuff from A to Z. We have recommendations for frontloaders, longtails, and budget bikes.

The essence of NIMBYism: the “right” density is whatever currently exists. Suburban NIMBYs think anything denser than a detached home is a monstrosity. Montreal NIMBYs think 3-storey walk-ups are OK but anything taller is bad. Go to Europe, suddenly 6-storey apartments are the universal ideal!
Le NIMBYisme à Outremont est un vrai problème. Voici un commentaire typique sous une publication Facebook de Caroline Braun, mairesse d'Outremont, au sujet de l'abandon des quelque trente habitations modulaires destinés aux sans-abri.
Preach. When people ask why the USA isn’t a great country anymore, it’s because we don’t prioritize easy cheap infrastructure wins like this would be.
*Slapping the roof of the I-94 trench between Minneapolis and St Paul* You could fit so many trains in this bad boy, and so much housing on top of it.

Trevor, we know Friday is the last day of school, but give us a call anyway. We’ve got a Go-To Card with your name on it!

Third spaces are crucial for everyone but possibly the most critical for teens.
and minneapolis used to be great for teens. like when i was growing up, we had an LGBTQ teen nightclub in loring park and there was another teen music venue on east lake st that did like rock / punk shows it would be nice if the city cared about teens and invested in making spaces for them too
