I can finally brag that my very cool sister-in-law Fern Diaz (founder/director of Librarie) will be designing Mamdani’s grocery stores :)

New York Magazine@nymag.com

The city hired local branding firms known for cutesy, Gen-Z designs to envision what a subsidized grocery store could look like. New Yorkers are worried.

I am so excited for this! @ariel-chu.com’s a first rate talent and has a long, bright writing career ahead of her. Her manuscript blew me over with its exquisite imagery, pitch-perfect voices, and sensitive, insightful portrayals of queer Taiwanese American women pushing back against social scripts.

Split/Lip Press@splitlippress.com

We're so happy and excited to welcome the newest member of the SLP family, @ariel-chu.com and her collection ANTIBACHELORETTE, which was selected from our 2026 short story/flash fiction submissions period! COMING IN NOVEMBER 2027! Welcome, Ariel!!!

We have also been going back into our archives and updating them as more information about ICE-related deaths and injuries becomes available. Many of these incidents were not widely reported at the time, and we only know about them because of local news.

@egreenberg.bsky.social

Many people are dying in ICE custody from the poor conditions, lack of access to medical care, and the brutality and incompetence of the guards. It's not surprising, but many of these facilities are operated by private companies. Don't look away.
