Life’s been busy. But every once in awhile, disbelief boils over. “I am thinking about bringing the #1 Attraction anywhere in the World, the man who gets much larger audiences than Elvis in his prime, and does so without a guitar. ” Who cld possibly say this, about themselves, & mean it? Guesses?

🌊 New research alert! Sea otters, it turns out, aren’t fans of farm-fresh oysters in this study - no matter how fresh they are. In fact, researchers found zero evidence of otters dining on oysters, even when these bivalves were grown in farms right in their foraging zones. #seaotters #oysters

Nothing better encapsulates the current state of the US than killing funding for mRNA vaccine development - so Covid, Bird Flu and cancer treatments are now woke and planning to destroy 2 active cutting edge climate monitoring satellites so O&G fuckheads can gaslight the planet #USpoli

Of course this is a field of study. I do love #Science.

👋 Hi! Time Perception researcher here. Emotional time dilation has been studied pretty extensively with some neat findings. (I recognize OP was meant as joke but this is what I do). Check out my recent Psyche article if curious psyche.co/guides/how-t...

Spoiler: #FIFA keeps all the sponsorship & advertising revenue while #VanCity pays to maintain a “controlled area” around the venue. All for the vague benefit of ‘future visitors’. Corporate greed is getting increasingly shameless. #BCPoli #DTES flip.it/IoU1Am

Journalism has to choose between political neutrality & truth. If it wants to pursue truth, it's not going to be neutral, it's going to end up on the other side from reactionaries, over & over again. That's been the basic problem for decades now & at the very least we should frame it clearly.

Seems the experts agree with me. (do we use hashtags on sky? #VanPoli, #BCPoli, just in case) Developers, aided by city councils, are often “building the wrong kinds of housing, in the wrong places, for the wrong reason,” say experts. flip.it/sg5gGY

I feel like a lot of people forgot that part where he used to walk into the dressing rooms of teen beauty pageants while the children were changing and it should be brought up more often www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

We teach what we teach. The end. The first amendment exist or it doesn’t. We are in the business of education or we aren’t. There’s no middle ground.

So much ‘shoulding’ in this article by folks stuck in the disastrous ‘growth is everything’ way of thinking. Personally, I’d welcome a return to tariffs, increased food security, and self-sufficiency. Opinion: Forget the G7. We need an FT8 — a Free Trade Eight flip.it/4Xk7Qf

I’ve been almost posting for a while, but this gets me over the hump. I’m fine with the end of #freetrade. It’s a perfect time to up self-sufficiency. And I like this, but let’s focus on #agriculture Chinese #garlic is awful. China threatens Canada with countermeasures over steel import curbs

So this whole #RemembranceDay thing. #Accomodation and #respect must be 2-way streets. As #Canada always welcomes #immigrants, so immigrants must welcome being #Canadian, as they always have. Canadian #identity IS a thing. Without it we don’t have a country. nationalpost.com/news/canada/...

What a simple, great idea. Has anyone suggested this to #Furstenau? It doesn’t look like she, or the BC #GreenParty for that matter, are on BlueSky yet. Maybe we should fix that.

BC Greens will be in talks with BC NDP over a Confidence and Supply Agreement (Casa) - let's make not like the 2017 idiocy and do something simple - a Legislature simple vote on Proportional Representation, get that passed, then go into more negotiations on bills #BCpoli #CDNpoli

Wait ... your birthday is the same as my brother's? That suddenly explains so much. Thank you. :)
